Earlier I posted a notice which reflected my outrage - it was withdrawn by, ostensibly cooler heads - folks, the answer is tough but simple - identify the political whores that did this (McClain, Warner and include the Democrat political whores, also) and institute impeachment proceedings - will it work? who knows...but it will require of those po;itical whores to expend substantial sums of money to defend their outrageous activities...and it will weaken them for re-election...can they be replaced by an opposing party? Yes, but they are the opposing party. To hell with them. Always extract from your enemy a price that is at least 2 or 3 times his cost...you may not slay him directly but we will send a profound message to other political whores in the Senate...

To all, anyone have the email address for Lindsey Graham? I urge all SC Freepers to email him. Remind him of the statesman we have in SC Governor Sanford who does what is right even if it might be unpopular. Urge Senator Wimpy Graham to display statesmanship and try to measure up to the stature of Mark Sanford. If Graham insists on being a rino (i can't even capitalize that word anymore), then maybe we can draft Sanford to run against him. Of course that may wreck my hopes of Sanford in the presidential race in 08.

Impeachment would just be used against us by the MSM, and the MSM is where the suckers that are in the middle get their news, like it or not. I can see the GOP being called the 'grand impeachment party' if your solution was implemented. I'm pissed, too, but I don't think that gets what we want, which is all 7 through. We need to consider p.r. here. This would solve that problem.

"And I won't back a 'conservative' party that doesn't care about standing up for the constitution 100%, especially when they have the soapbox to themselves as they do now."

I understand your anger but implore you to reconsider. The fight to win inside the Republican party is still the best chance, strategically, even if we fail on this one. (see my tag line for insight into Republican Senatorial timidity)

Our nation and the Free World are still under attack by agents of influence put in place in the Cold War, now operated by Putin and his KGB colleagues. They control the Democratic party, but so far have only penetrated slightly into the Republicans. That slight pentration was enough to win this time. But we can still save the party.

GET REAL PEOPLE, WE LOST

Barring Frist rejecting the deal, its over. It's done with. Contrary to rumors the GOP gets 3 that's right THREE judges out of TEN. AND the democrats retain the right of filibuster.

WHAT A FRIGGIN JOKE. I'm dropping GOP membership, I won't defend these assholes anymore.

Yep, but better to make them cast that vote against the poster boy nominees than on the white guys.

LOL! Last I saw Toomey was at a party for local
Republicans in Pittsburgh (in April). He gave a speech supporting Bush's Social Security changes.

Compare that to what he would be doing right now if he was in the Senate.

The RINOS haven't won. The Conservatives just haven't fought to the death. Ever.

This is a way they can. And if they don't take the chance now, they probably won't get the later nominees through. The RINOS will have let the Rats pick the battlefield and will help them vilify the white men.

We know we can still get these three included in the deal through if we renominate them, based on this sellout deal. Why not gamble this way? What does the leadership have to lose, exactly?

oh but the DemoncRATs promise they'll only fillibuster the most extreme of the President's nominees!

[SCARCASM OFF]

UGGH!

The poster here does present an interesting challenge that would really put it to the RINOs but they are only principled in their unprincipledness - they would continue to join the other side, no matter what it takes.

If he was in the Senate we would have four conservatives there instead of three.

The exceptional instance that will trigger the fake filibuster will be ANY SS nominee that doesn't sleep with Ruthie Ginsbooorgh. This is a way to shut things up until the real targets come online. I would be willing to bet that the Chief Justice has been waiting for this to happen before he can retire. As far as I am concerned, the Republicans are the problem. It is time to quit worrying over this right left game that is being played. The game is rigged, without a chance of a true victory.

OK, now I really have a problem. The RNC has lost what little money I send them ( Ohhh... that's going to hurt !! LOL). All it would do is elect another RINO. Yet, I don't see a TRUE conservative that's electable, and I'm damn sure a Republician/Conservative split will result in another Klintoon election victory. DAMM !!!! Why won't these guys grow some ba11s !!!!

Mark, I'm with you 100% if they don't get these nominees through. But I'll wait until the real vote, instead of buying a RINO sellout as the voice of the GOP.

If they don't push the filibuster rules change vote on Brown or Owen, they won't have to worry about any more campaign help from me, either. This is about the Supreme Court later, not just these 7 judges now. With the filibuster in place, the Rats will be able to stop male nominees by Hillifying them.

We'll see.

The "game" in fact is that there are several Republicans---whatever their personal inclinations (which, I think, are quite liberal)---cannot get elected as conservatives in their states, and needed some cushion.

And I don't think this has been passed on to the USSC fight. I think we're gonna get all our people.

FRIST SHOULD CALL THE VOTE TO REMOVE THE FILIBUSTER.

Force the sell outs to actually have to vote against the republican picks by voting against the removal of the filibuster.

The RINOs will cave...or pay hell come election day.
