A little birdie told me what the Rove thing is all about.

Posted on 07/14/2005 1:50:45 PM PDT by Pukin Dog

Don’t ask me, because you know I won’t tell you how I came across this information.

Here is the scoop.

This is all about the Supreme Court.

With the knowledge that Rove was Matthew Cooper’s background source regarding the Plame incident, no matter the fact that no laws were broken, the Democrats leaped upon the matter as a way for Democrats and the MSM to possibly prevent Bush from changing the makeup of the Supreme Court. Under normal circumstances, Democrats cannot stop Bush from reshaping the Supreme Court, and that has Democrats terrified. They cannot sustain a Filibuster without Frist invoking the Nuclear Option on them, so they only have one last option, which is now underway.

The Democrats must demonize Bush to the degree that they can then begin their long-awaited impeachment articles, with the MSM in tow. If Congress can introduce articles of impeachment against Bush, then the MSM will demand that Bush postpone any nominations to the Supreme Court until the matter is decided. It is the only hope they have left of preventing a Conservative Supreme Court from taking hold, and if they do not accomplish this, the flow of money into Democratic coffers will stop instantaneously.

Next week, you will begin to hear Democrats suggesting that if Bush does not fire Karl Rove, then he is guilty of “Obstruction of Justice” and “Lying to the American People” in order to protect a friend. The Media will play along dutifully, because it was there idea in the first place.

Forget about Judith Miller.

Because the Special Prosecutor has asked the White House not to discuss the matter, no one will be able to inform Miller or the NY Times on how Miller should lie to save herself. Without that knowledge, the Times will not let her testify at all. They are paying her to be silent, and it is they who are actually guilty of ‘Obstruction of Justice’ Miller knows who the leaker is, and you all know who I believe that person to be.

What you all are about to see, is the most coordinated, vicious attack ever in the history of Politics against this administration, because those involved have everything at stake. Without control of the Supreme Court, the Liberal agenda is dead for the next 30-40 years. All of their Environmental nonsense, Abortion, Private Property, Affirmative Action and Civil Rights issues go right down the tubes.

The Bush Administration is aware of what is to come, and might be able to prevent it with a little ‘inside baseball’ but the looniest on the left will attempt this no matter what the outcome.

Expect editorials next week, arguing whether or not it is fair for a president who “stole the first election” and won the second election by the “smallest margin of any incumbent President” who is “embroiled in a National Security Scandal” to be deciding on the makeup of the Supreme Court. At the same time, Liberal Senators will begin to suggest that Conformation hearings on anyone Bush selects should be postponed until the investigations are over. Unfortunately for our side, they have an alley in one Arlen Specter. They will be leaning heavily on him to go along with delayed hearings. Specter is already angry with Bush over the Stem-cell research issue.

Will it work? No. Why? Because Bush understands the law, and also understands (with Rove’s help) that no matter how loud and long the Democrats scream, they and the MSM really cant do anything about the Supreme Court, but can effect public opinion. Bush, by telling Republicans to shut up about his choice, has set precedent for when he tells (by his Supreme Court selections) the Democrats the same thing. If he ignores both sides, he can just choose who he wants, and that is exactly what he will do.

So get ready for an ugly, ugly Summer and Fall. Don’t expect to hear much from Bush on Rove, or the Courts after he makes his selections. Republicans in Congress will also be silent (except Specter and Hagel) and will not risk their own re-elections and legacies to side with Democrats this time round.

So there it is, take it or leave it. I wont answer any questions about how or where I got the information, so don’t ask me.

-PD

Aww, crap!! It's too hot to go outside, and if you're right, I'm not gonna be able to stand watching all this BS all over the MSM for the rest of the summer!
I've no choice but to stay in a perpetual state of inebriation and do nothing but FReep until football season starts.

Unfortunately, the Democrats have been making hay out of this since 2003. That kind of blows up the theory that this has a lot to do with a 2005 Supreme Court vacancy.

I don't understand why you're so pissy about this. OK, so you won't answer questions--what's the harm in asking for something to determine whether you can be trusted or not?

Frankly, the reason I'm asking is because nothing you wrote seems to be "inside" info but things that have been posted here for the past few days.

I couldn't care less if you don't want questions asked, I'll ask. If you want to post commonly accepted ideas which anyone could come up with--editorials will criticize Bush--gee, ya think?--and expect people to just bow down and accept them, that's fine too. Maybe in your world when someone says "Don't ask questions" you comply. Not me.

I disagree. When the whole truth comes out about this, it is going to be really bad. For the dems, not Bush.

Miller knows who the leaker is, and you all know who I believe that person to be.

Who might the leaker be?

Here's an inside tip:

To introduce articles of impeachment a majority of House members must vote for them.

Doesn't seem likely. The House members would probably require some, like, ya know, actual evidence?

The House of Representatives voted on four articles of impeachment on December 19, 1998, passing two of them

I just hope, with all this whining and lying and underhanded tactics, more Dems will follow the exodus to Independant and Republican parties, and many I know have. They look like a bunch of lunatic kooks, and think the general public is so below them, too stupid to know they are lying about Constitutional law, and more and more Dems are embarrassed by them, and the thought of seeing them in power frightens them. Some Dems I know are VERY leftist. But even they are embarrassed by those in their party making complete fools of themselves, and ignoring their constituents. Increasingly they are seeing them as certifiable, and next time around they should really be very concerned about their elections.

Personally, I look at all this, and IMO, if the Dems hate the fact that they have lost "power" then with the actions of these Dem leader, they ain't seen nuttin yet!! Wait till 06 and 08!!

I'm not sure asking for Rove's resignation would defuse the situation....it might inflame it more by the lib's going public claiming that Rove was just covering for Bush and that's why Bush asked for his resignation.

I can't find the quote, but I'm pretty sure he never used the words fire, terminate, or dismiss when he was asked what he would do.

Just one question: Who is the "Karl Rove" of this scheme on the part of the Democrats?

Thirty two years ago, the rats got away with the closest thing to a coup d'etat this country has ever seen. Featuring the pig Kennedy and a little known Marxist lawyer named Hillary Rodham, the 'rats ran out a good President. This time around they do not control Congress but that does not mean they will not try. There are way too many rinos to dismiss the idea that they will try to impeach a noble man and a great President.

Unfortunately, the Democrats have been making hay out of this since 2003.

And, the only reason it is blowing up now is because SCOTUS refused the appeal, and ordered the reporters (Mller and Cooper) to reveal their sources.

And, whatever happened to the Downing Street Memo??? Wasn't that their impeachment shot for last week? And the National Guard? and...

As a last resort, couldn't Bush defuse the situation with Rove's resignation? Isn't that the essense of the leftist attack? I mean, before it gets so drastic as for the nominating process to be stalled. Just a thought.

The President will not throw Karl under the bus for nothing. He is loyal and he knows Karl has done nothing wrong. The liberals know this.

There has to be something more to all this than meets the eye. The media jackals are being just a little too rabid on this, a Time email is suspiciously leaked to its greatest rival Newsweek, blowng the whole thing up on Rove, and today you have Ted Kennedy meekly saying we need to let the investigation play out.

Looks like this scenario may be right on the money.

Darkwolf377,
I am going to have to side with pukin dog on this one. His characterization of his source is "A little birdie..."

In my opinion, he doesn't have to have rock solid sources on this. This could be made up by him, but it is hardly "Black Helicopter" material. The question is, and why he posted it, is does it pass a "sniff test"?

The answer to that is, yes. The problem with Liberals in this country, is that it is difficult to imagine any behavior that is too outlandish for them. It is almost impossible to satire them. Anything you read in the Onion or Scrappleface can pass the "sniff test". A sad state.

Of course, that's nonsense, but whatever.

You don't seriously believe that Democrats care, do you? Everything they do depends on the gullibility of the American public.
