Don't you know that celebrities get to take their own sweet time in deciding whether a tragedy merits their attention. It's only President Bush who is expected to be standing on the levee... I guess with a bucket... as the storm comes ashore.

Witness the untimely sinking of S Penns effort. I think they are just being "cautious" this time. I'm sure they'll be along with something magical.

Saints Receiver Joe Horn Visits Refugees

"Anybody can throw money around at these people, but they need love," said Horn, who spent three hours signing autographs, holding babies and playing games with children. "They need to be able to feel me. So when I leave, I hope they feel a little better."

Hey, I forgot to put the plug in my uncle's boat back in 1960 at the "Hi House" on the Butte La Rose bayou ; sank it, and never made that mistake again. After that fiasco as we were pulling the boats (2) out I ran over the gas tank. Budweiser was in control; blame it on Busch!!

The SuperBowl-winning New England Patriots are doing their thing.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - To encourage contributions to the Gulf Coast recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation has established a program for Patriots players, coaches and employees to make donations in support of the hurricane relief efforts. If players, coaches and staff choose to make a personal financial contribution to a sanctioned non-profit organization that is working directly with disaster relief, the Kraft family, through the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, will match those contributions for the first $100,000 raised. The New England Patriots are represented by five players who attended Louisiana State University; Eric Alexander, Kevin Faulk, Marquise Hill, Randall Gay and Jarvis Green. These players and the entire Patriots organization thank our fans for keeping the hurricane victims in their thoughts and prayers.

One of my neighbors (a fireman) said that each NFL team was giving a mil each. Haven't seen it in the news though. A NASCAR driver and his boss contributed their winnings tonight to the cause. And it was the drivers first win.
