No. I had just always voted Republican with an occasional Dem here and there in local elections. I had a cool Grandma who was very Republican as an influence. That day crystallized the anger and even hatred I had for all of the things that had went before. They just marched across my mind relentlessly. The Cole, Khobar Towers, Tanzania, and on and on. The distaste and dislike of the left had been with me since I was eight because I was part of a military family during the Viet Nam era. This cemented it. I vote straight Republican because I want to defeat them and save my country from people that would seek to harm us.
