Urgent Prayer Request for my Brother (See update in post 364)
09/30/2005 | Self

Posted on 09/30/2005 6:03:00 AM PDT by Aracelis

My brother, Eric, will be attempting to get his children back legally from his estranged wife in a little more than 5 hours. He has not seen his children, Korin (age 10), Damon (aged 9), and Aaron (aged 8) in over a month, and they are his entire life.

My sister-in-law is an extremely disturbed individual with numerous psychiatric and physical problems, and ran away with the children one day while my brother was at work. He does not know where any of them are, has had no telephone contact, and has been searching frantically for them ever since.

Would you please pray that Eric can be reunited with his children, and that none of them come to any harm? Unfortunately, my brother lives in a state that automatically assumes the mother to be the better caretaker, but in this case I am hoping the judge will see otherwise.

Most definitely praying for your brother, and for the children. He must be terrified.

Best wishes and prayers to your family. Hopefully, he is well represented.....here is a HUGE recommendation, especially if he is not successful in today's attempt. If this has not already been done tell your brother to work towards a COURT ORDERED psychological evaluation of the mother.

May God build a shield of protection over these children and restore them to their father, in Jesus' name.

I came here and asked for prayers when I filed for sole custody of my daughter, and asked for prayers again when I went to court - I feel that the prayers that the Freepers offered up were of genuine help in those times of need - I now have sole custody of my 12 year old daughter, with supervised visitation for her mother.

My prayers go up for your brother Eric, and for his children, and for you as well. More and more, the courts are beginning to see that mom is not always the best choice, and I pray that this is the case as well in this situation.

This is on-the-plate, so to speak. My brother seems to have a good attorney (she's Christian as well), but the problem will be getting the court to recognize and admit the evidence my brother has discovered, because my sister-in-law will probably fight having a psych eval.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that though we might be hid one from another, we are never out of Your sight. May Your hand of protection ever be upon these children, shielding them from harm, whether spiritually or emotionally or physically. Reunite them with their father, O God, that his heart would be eased, and grant the Judge the wisdom of Solomon, that he would rule righteously and well. If there be deception, reveal it ... sweep away all deceit and establish these children in an environment of love and trust and security. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen ...

Prayers offered. I saw my brother go through the same thing. With God's help, he prevailed and has custody of his children.
