Within minutes of Buckhead's original posting, Freepers began to repeat and embellish Buckhead's thoughts. Not surprisingly, they all agreed with him, they all agreed with one another, and they all agreed this should be pursued aggressively. Freethinkers they are not. The Freepers and their lockstep like-minded fellow travelers moved as a group, like a school of sharks sweeping toward an unaware and unarmed victim. CBS was like some sunburned, overweight Florida tourist with a cut foot, floundering and flapping in the water alone in the surf. The Freepers swarmed CBS not because it was right or fair but because they could.On Web sites such as Powerline, INDC Journal, Allahpundit, and Spacetownusa, the bravehearts of the blogging world worked anonymously in what appeared to be huge numbers, in unison, to destroy the Bush-Guard story, to uphold one another's wild and hateful claims, to outshout, outargue, and outblog anyone who dared to disagree. And on their Web sites there is no disagreement. They hate in unison, they speak with one angry voice, they each make themselves bigger by staying as close together as possible.

Nothing like a good "lock step" and "shark attack" in the morning.

But CBS agreed that Mapes screwed up--so is she saying that FR actually beat CBS into submission? Or that CBS is part of the hate brigade? That CBS management moves in lock-step with the sharks at FR? Or what exactly?
Mary knew that if she broke wind in the echo chamber, she'd never hear the end of it.
Mary, explain this image. How does the "Texas Air National Guard" memo match almost exactly with the same text typed in Microsoft Word on its default settings? Please, any explanation coming close to reasonable will at least start the discussion. Alien technology from Area 51 doesn't count, because the TANG didn't get that until the late 1970s.
She's right. What were we thinking? Why would we care if CBS used forged documents to try and bring down our leader? Does she even address that little fact?

Awww poor old helpless pitiful CBS attacked by huge numbers of Freepers. It just could not stand against the hundred or so Freepers demanding the truth.
So when is the next blockbuster horror movie coming out "When Freepers Attack"?

She was right... she was unaware of reality (and still) and unarmed with authentic documents, ethics or even common sense.
I'm afraid it's too late for intervention.

This broad cares nothing about the truth.
She consistently finesses the fundamental issue in the CBS report. The weight of the evidence is clearly on the side claiming the memo was a forgery. For Mary Mapes, that FACT doesn't matter, because for that broad, the TRUTH and the FACTS are alway secondary concerns, not primary.
She is a broad after all.
