years ago people told me I looked like her & now they say I look like Camilla parker Bowles (dutchess)..
think I should be wearing a bag on my head?
You know I think she meant well.. she was then just pretty naive as were the peaceniks then & now. Now she really doesn't have that excuse. She is all grown up & is still undermining our country. A traitor is a traitor no matter how naive/uninformed they are.

Jimmy Stewart had started to fly before World War II. He served as a Group Commander with the Eighth Air Force and flew lead aircraft on 19 missions over enemy targets. He became an AF Brigadier General. Years later when Stewart was at Carswell for the filming of the movie "Strategic Air Command" he spoke at a flying safety meeting.
My father, himself a WW II vet, used to tell a story I have never seen in print and may very well be a tall tale: Supposedly Stewart was told by a snooty London hotel clerk that company policy would not permit him to issue a room to an actor. Stewart whipped out his ID card and said, Make that GENERAL James Stewart. Very good, Sir. We are happy to accommodate generals.

what a wonderful story. Jimmy Stewart was a great actor & had a wonderful sense of humor .. and if this story is true, was NOT afraid to pull rank!

Thank you for the great graphic version of the list of celebrity veterans. May I add Neville Brand who earned a Silver Star and a Purple Heart, apparently among many other honors when he served in the Army in the European Theater.
