Congrats to your dad. Very nice.
Hearty congratulations! That's quite a prestigious honor.
Well, I am impressed, and congratulations.
Which one is your dad?
"My father won the award for his invention of the Global Positioning System."
Can I send "dad" my christmas list???? I'd really like a new laptop, a large LCD tv, and $5,000 cash in 20 dollar bills.
Your dad invented GPS? Give him my congratulations and my thanks for a wonderful navigational tool.
uh...I thought AlGore invented that at the AlGoreLabs.Com

Nevermind, I figured it out.
Wow! I always thought that Freepers and their families were smart. Here's yet one more confirmation!
Congratulations to your dad. :) May the bubbly flow at at your family's home tonight.
p.s.: I'm an Illinois native.
Congratulations! Your father's work is a great service to science and humanity
I use GPS all the time. Thank your Dad.
Thought you guys might be interested in this. :)
The people who congregate here continue to amaze me.
Congrats from another Illinois resident.
We have to excerpt from the WHITEHOUSE now? I always suspected Bush was in league with the WaPo and LATimes.
Nope. It was Roger Easton in 1964. Getting DID NOT do it (contrary to some incorrect statements you will find on the net). My father received the critical patent for GPS in 1974. In addition, he designed the Vanguard Satellite and developed the Mintrak system.
That is very hard to believe, but I don't think you're lying. Congratulations to your father. Very nice.
Thanks. My son used a devise to good effect in Iraq.
My husband INSISTS on deer hunting all alone, in the incredibly vast woods of Canada. I was so happy when he bought a mobile GPS positioning system last year.
You are absolutely right. Thanks, Richard's dad! :)
