Bwah-ha-ha-ha...I bet Pope Benedict is just shaking in his shoes right now; wringing his hands; how will the Church deal with this "long battle"? Will we have enough troops?

Oh wait, note to "gay rights activists"........THE VATICAN DOESN'T GIVE A RIP WHAT YOU THINK

the Church would lose thousands of followers in the United States.

Good! They can join the ranks of the Lutherans, Methodists and Episcopalians who have more "compassion". No doubt, ECUSA Bishop Vicki Gene Robinson will toss out the 'Welcome' mat for these usurpers of true doctrine.

battle? what battle? if you stay in the Church, you follow Vatican teachings; otherwise you leave, it's really simple .. a battle is something that can be won.

Pssst... (to Gay rights activists and liberal Catholics)... did not you know that the Catholic Cafeteria was/is/always will be CLOSED?

Wake up and smell the reality that J.R. was elevated to Benedict XVI.

The liberal Catholics don't practice Catholicism, that would be some pagan form of humanism.

"We'll seek to speak over the heads of the Pope to Catholics in the pews to urge them to take into consideration what Jesus would do if He saw His neighbor being treated in this way," said Knox. "Jesus would never exclude."

Jesus would probably tell them:
1)go and sin no more.
2)The unrepentant will have a visit the fires of h&ll.

They just sooooo don't get it.

PS. The scandal was more about the homosexual agenda than anything else.

Gay rights activists and liberal Catholics girded on Wednesday for a long battle over the Vatican's tougher stance on homosexuality, predicting the Church would lose thousands of followers in the United States.

Here's a shocker to gay "rights" advocates...I'm not catholic...but as much as the catholic church stands up for Christian morality...they are in the right...it is the "gay rights" realm that is in error...but they probably already know that.

"We'll seek to speak over the heads of the Pope .... said Knox.

That would be GOD Almighty. If you were on speaking terms with Him. You'd zip your pants and be on your knees begging forgiveness Mr. Knox.

Hmmmn.

Lose thousands of followers (all liberals activists (er, hypocrites), abortion-rights supporters, and homosexuals (er, promiscuous sexual deviates) and Catholic church haters.

Gain (and regain) millions of (devout) Catholics now disgusted with official passive treatment of homosexual priests preying on young men at church expense.

Gee.

What a trade-off.
