Tammy Bruce: "The New American Revolution"

The New American Revolution

by Jennifer Freeman

"My willingness to defend myself to the death stems from my own self-esteem. I know I am worthy of being saved, and I am willing to act on that worthiness. It reminds me of my uniqueness and the power of my decision making, and the fact that I can act on what I deem to be important."----- Tammy Bruce

THE NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION

As one of the foremost thinkers of 21st century America, Tammy Bruce has hit the ball out of the park with her latest book, THE NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION.

Ms. Bruce was the President of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) from 1990-1996. She later removed herself from Leftist movement citing the importance of freedom of expression and personal liberty over the groupthink mentality that is required to advance the Leftist agenda. She has authored three books and currently hosts a nationally syndicated radio talk show flagshipped at 790 KABC.

In THE NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION, Ms. Bruce devotes an entire chapter to firearm ownership in which she clearly explains the Second Amendment issue. The discussion covers all the bases including the individual right view, self-defense, terrorism, tyranny, anti-gun media complicity, incrementalism, and individual action. Ms. Bruce contends that, "Our freedoms are not just embodied in the idea of our individual rights, but in the deliberate, thoughtful, and decent exercise of those rights."

While the United States has culturally divided itself in every way imaginable including political ideology, race, religion, gender, and sexual preference, Leftist operatives within the government, media, and large corporations have strengthened their position and furthered their agenda. It is imperative for Americans to free themselves from socially imposed stereotyes if they are to recognize the true origin of America's decline. While we may disagree on many issues, we must agree that our rights are inalienable and worth preserving. And we must stand up for those rights as no one is going to do it for us. "The American citizen and patriot, in my humble opinion, is one of the best people on earth," she says.

In the chapter on firearms, Tammy Bruce provides valuable information for anyone who supports the Second Amendment and would like to have a series of concise, succinct arguments that they can use during political discussion. It is also useful for those who might not understand the issue. As someone who was entrenched in the liberal activist movement, Ms. Bruce understands the mindset of the anti-gunner and tackles the issue head-on. She conveys the facts in a palatable manner without pulling any punches. Even the individual activst -- the Second Amendment army of one -- may find some new and surprising information with which to arm herself. But, you'll have to read the book to find out what it is.

In addition to the chapter on firearm ownership, Ms. Bruce further exposes the lies and the hypocrisy of the Socialist movement -- a movement that promotes tolerance but has none when it comes to gun ownership and other issues. She covers a range of topics emphasizing the power of the individual who acts. A power that grows exponentially when Americans act together while retaining their individuality. Being an American first and everything else second is a strength we can draw upon to restore our nation's greatness.

I'm a former feminist who thinks that Tammy Bruce speaks the truth about the feminist movement. I'm going to have to order this book.

"She later removed herself from Leftist movement citing the importance of freedom of expression and personal liberty over the groupthink mentality that is required to advance the Leftist agenda."

It takes deep and painful intospection, intellectual integrity and determined bravery to bring about such a reformation. The leftist grip is binding and to loosen it puts one in peril.

She is a bundle of contradictions, not the least of which is the claim that the person who said this, "My willingness to defend myself to the death stems from my own self-esteem. I know I am worthy of being saved, and I am willing to act on that worthiness. It reminds me of my uniqueness and the power of my decision making, and the fact that I can act on what I deem to be important." has a humble opinion about anything.

Please Boycott Tammy's books and shows until she apologizes for saying vile and crude behavior in the past at abortion clinic protests.. Things like breathing on pro-lifers and saying "how do you like dikes breath" She has also said such things in front of children at these protests.. She was among the worst of the "clinic defenders" -- a vile and violent bunch of people..

All she needs to do is say she is sorry..

I am glad she has a new book out as well. I read her previous books in one sitting, both of them were outstanding! Tammy Bruce has trmendious insight into the structure, pathology, and methodology of the leftist movement. I disagree with her on a few things, but that is one of the reasons I admire our side. It is O.K. to be a conservative and not have to march in step with one another. We are the tolerant ones, not the left.....at least for the most part we are.

My local library has a very good collection of conservative books, which is kind of suprising considering the blue county it's in. (I live across the county line and pay a nonresident user fee.)

I agree. I think she has real problems in some areas, but she also has information and perspective that is very valuable.

Tammy Bruce's Constitutional Ignorance: Disappointed Alito Supports Abortion Notification

Tammy Bruce is a self-styled maverick. She describes herself as a "an openly gay, pro-choice, gun owning, pro-death penalty, voted-for-President Bush progressive feminist." But in her just-completed interview on Fox News, she revealed a profound ignorance of the way our constitutional system works. Speaking of Alito's vote to uphold a law requiring women to notify their husbands of their intent to have an abortion, Bruce said: "I'm disappointed that Alito thought this was an appropriate area for legislation." "Appropriate" has nothing to do with it. A strict constructionist might have thought it was a very foolish piece of legislation. But...

There are innumerable reasons to want our border secure. We know our infrastructure is being ravaged--emergency rooms overwhelmed, hospitals closing, our highways jammed, school rooms overcrowded, tax revenue lost, it goes on and on. When illegal immigrants are discussed in the media, the picture painted is of a hard working family man or woman, the sort of person President Bush refers to when he pitches his "guest worker" program. "Hard working people who want a better way of life," is how he casts them. While many fit that bill, the dirty little secret is the fact that illegal aliens are...

I found it odd a couple of weeks ago when President Bush floated the idea that we should consider using the military to enforce any quarantine needed in this country. He cited the Bird Flu epidemic, which has killed tens of millions of birds and 65 humans. The reason cited for the sudden panic was a World Health Organization report that said the flu could mutate into a form that easily spreads among humans, possibly causing a pandemic. So far, the 65 people who have died: all came in contact with sick birds. There has not been one confirmed human-to-human...
