No one will buy their oil because no one will have the fuel to deliver it anyway. Destruction of the oil fields is one of the worst scenarios imaginable. You can't even begin to realize the panic that could ensue if Saudi taps were shut off, or Iranian for that matter. What would China do? Russia? Every country for themselves? Imagine this clown in Iran holding the Saudi oil fields and a gun pointed at the head of Europe in the form of a nuclear weapon or two or three. What are you going to trade for Saudi Arabia? Rome? Paris? Berlin? London? What I don't think many people are appreciating is the fact that Mutually Assured Destruction does not apply here. They will sacrifice their own to destroy us. They DO NOT CARE.

You took the words right out of my mouth. This is exactly the scenario I envisioned.

Is it likely? I don't know. Is it possible? Absolutely. And I guarantee the Pentagon has war-gamed this over and over and over again. And frankly, I don't see how any of the outcomes are good if Iran has a nuclear weapon in its arsenal.

Bottom line: If Iran gets nukes we have big trouble. Exactly what they will choose to do I do not know, but you can bet the ranch they will do SOMETHING.

We really have no choice. We cannot let them get nukes. And it could get VERY ugly when we make our move.

Interesting conversation we are having here.

I think Iran will attack Israel first, because they believe that will unify the Muslim world.

They are not afraid of Europe, because Europe is impotent.

They know that we have our own leftists problems here.

Just my opinion, but I am interested in what everyone else thinks here.

I believe the reason someone left us with the overview called revelations and other "prophectic visions" is to empower us. If we do nothing, then the path described in those passages is guaranteed. We have been enabled by someone who has seen the future. It is up to us to alter the path if we so choose.

Um, no. The prophecies in the Book of Revelation (not "Revelations") are just that- prophecies. Things that WILL happen. The future. Can't be stopped. Can't be altered. If a single prophecy was not fulfilled, God would be shown to be a liar, which is not possible.

sorry we disagree

lets see, why would someone tell us the future? so we can prepare. why would someone give you a roadmap? to help you get to where you need to be. i doubt god wants us to collectively roast in nuclear hell. if he did, he would have allowed it to happen long ago.

god also had enemies as he pointed out. he talked of satan. others talked of the antichrist.... which I believe is the collective soul of islam. the ANTI Christ is personified in their actions.... and walks the earth with us.

guaranteed if we let them continue with their actions there will be a nuclear hell on earth

if god wanted us to collectively roast in hell he would have done it himself, along time ago (and we wouldn't be waiting for some 1,2,or3 thousand years) but he is not that kind of god.

but i believe he does have adversaries who would like to see a roaster of anthing realated to god or christ.

lets see, why would someone tell us the future?

Biblical prophecy does a couple of things. First, it authenticates the Divinity of the ultimate author- it shows that He exists outside of the time-space continuum. It shows that the Bible is not merely the wishful thinking of a bunch of men. Second, it does give us an opportunity for change. Not to change the elements of the prophecy- as I stated earlier, the prophecy WILL come to pass. No, the opportunity is for individuals to come to faith in Christ. God is showing us that our ultimate fate depends on our relationship with Him. He is giving us an opportunity to accept his Gift. The prophecies in Revelation show us the consequences of rejecting that Gift. They also show that Jesus is true to His Word when he stated that He would return to judge mankind.

All that you say is true except for one problem. There is no reason at all for Iran to attack and try to destroy Saudi Arabia. That's why I think it is an autistic fantasy. Yes it could be done but it has no tie to the real world.

Iran's oil is not a lock box (safe). You can bet that every oil well is known to the US.

Exactly my point. To believe the US and the rest of the West by extension, would not retaliate and seize control of the situation is totally unrealistic. By launching at attack, Iran basically could take a giant leap into the abyss, but after that holds no cards at all.

I agree it is critical to stop Iran pre-emptively. Of course Saudis are far weaker than Israel, but so what? I simply see no reason at all to assume an Iranian attack on Saudi, since it would mark the end of Iran as a functioning adversary. "Taking Saudi Arabia?" Conventionally, they have no way to project power into Saudi except by going through us. Which they could not even begin to do. If they went nuclear they would be destroyed in a few hours.

We can clean up oil fields, as we showed in Kuwait, and since the whole world runs on oil, we will not be alone if Iran tries to derail the global economy. There may be an economic black hole out there somewhere, but this ain't it.
