Can't think of any that particularly impressed me, with the exception of a few quasi-conservatives. Who really knows how to shake up the rats?
Buckley......NO. 1
Not sure of the best but a surprisingly good one was Jack Kerouac. Yes Jack Kerouac. Became a conservative until his death in 1969. He was a frequent guest on Buckley's "Firing Line" and in one show he dismantled two hippies debating the Vietnam war and denounced the "Beat" generation
Actually I think it is probably Rush.
" To answer your question Keyes is very good."
yep...it's a toss up between Newt and A. Keyes.
Rush Limbaugh---even with half his brain tied behind his back. He's the best.
I dunno, but I still to this day can hear Zell Miller tearing the reprobates a new one at the RNC in 2004.
Eddie Van Halen is unbelievably awesome!
Buckley uses a lot of big words, but when he debated Reagan on the Panama Canal, Reagan kicked his butt and had a much better graps of the specifics. Buckley took the said of Carter on giving it away.

Is there life after ZOT...
Did you listen in on Bob Grant's final week? It was emotional!
I think the biggest reason she is over looked is because she's never been an entertainer.
"Emerging," except I'll never forgive him for not backing up the Impeachment of Bubba Clinton for some odd reason.

Only me for Victor Davis Hanson ?????????????
Buckley..Mmmm yea ..Superior talker
Which is why they "borked" him.
He handed them their rear ends, debated everybody, and embarrassed some sitting senators on not just constitutional theory, but on history, and the various other items.
They were extremely ticked, and voted against him for it.
Its quite telling that no one, actually called him unqualified or said a word about his skills, they just didn't like his opinions.
The precedent was set "Never embarrass or humiliate a sitting senator who can vote against you.....but you can let them embarrass themselves".
Take a look at Ms. Coulters resume and background (before she became a pundit).
She is about as much a ditz as Einstein was a fool.
I'm surprised no one here has mentioned Scalia.
