Whittington Back in ICU (FNC Reporting Minor Heart Attack)
WJIM-AM | February 14, 2006 | be-baw

Posted on 02/14/2006 10:09:50 AM PST by be-baw

I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.

My first thought is that no way would Cheney ever resign. I still think it's unlikely, but I don't rule it out entirely. The president relies on him a lot and trusts him completely. Plus, both Pres and VP have broad shoulders and a high putting-up-with-BS ability. But, if it appears that this accident could endanger the 2006 or 2008 elections, I think they will reconsider. The MSM and the left better be careful what they ask for. This could give the president the opportunity to put in someone who is the heir apparent. Cheney, b/c of his own heart condition, isn't.

All they said yesterday was that he was hit in the face. Did they just miss the one birdshot that entered his chest?

I have seen a pellet migrate to the right heart. More often, I have seen the pellet or BB traverse the myocardium or the right atrium and 'seed' into the trabecula of the right ventricle. If the pellet passed thru the wall of the right heart, the stakes are antied up. Now one has to worry about pericardial effusions and tamponade. It is not likely, and in a normal healthy young boy would probably heal uneventfully. With an older person, the recuperative abilities are diminished, as well as the ability to stave off infection and other physiological insults. The man needs to be in a tertiary care medical center. Move him to the Houston Medical Center now.

Saw that .. it's from Novak:

"On NBC's "Meet the Press" Jan. 29, Frist said, "I would have probably put more troops in [Iraq] if the decision had been up to me." He said the White House is not cooperating with Hurricane Katrina investigations by Congress. As for the Bush budget, he said: "We are spending too much in Washington, D.C." He suggested his and the White House's position in the Terri Schiavo case was wrong. On NBC's "Today" program the next day, when asked about the administration's National Guard policy, Frist replied: "I am opposed to cutting the Guard myself."

When you watch Media Watch on Saturday's you can really see just how far they have gone to the left. The only person I dislike more than David Gregory is Neal Grabler.

I think what they said yesterday was that he was hit with birdshot in the face, arm and chest.

At least that's what I heard.

It's sorta like wishing Bill Clinton would have resigned. In a way, I'm glad he didn't. I can't imagine how much further Algore would have taken this country in three years.

FOX ought to be ashamed that they used this woman as a source for information on cardiac procedures.

I believe Cheney is the best Vice President this country has ever had. He is a fine man. This was a tragic accident. The first sign of deterioration has occurred and Mr. Whittington needs to be moved to a tertiary care center. The White House should insist on it. Nothing against the Corpus doctors or facility. But this needs to evolve under the care of house staff, 24- 7, with the best in the world taking care of him. The Houston medical center is world class. That is where he needs to be. I do not believe the Corpus Christi hospital has cardiology fellows in training on that site, though I could be wrong about that.

Good afternoon.

How about a good American blond like Molly Henneberg? She even give the impression of being somewhat conservative.
