The good citizens of the United States of America with the help of the patriotic media will be in Crawford Texas to lawfully and peacefully demonstrate against George W. Bush's lack of enforcement of immigration law. For calling the Minutemen and other border watchers "vigilantes", for not directing ICE to round up illegal aliens in our cities, for willfully failing to put our miltary on the border, For being a Mexican president and the best friend an illegal alien can have, for putting American citizens last. We, the American people will be in Crawford Texas May 6 2006 , for a reckoning. Join us! God Bless America.

Conservatives MUST watch out that their justifiable frustration with immigration law doesn't play into the liberals' hands by weakening the President.

President Bush has failed miserably on illegal immigration. I'll support whomever steps up to the plate and deploys our National Guard units to the border and keeps them there until a permanent wall/barrier can be built.

After having seen steady progress in moving the country to the right over the course of my adult life, I am sitting here watching people ready to throw it all away over the lack of perfection. Instead we should be celebrating the progress we have made and shoring up the goals for the future.

I am really shocked, because I thought most conservatives had cooler heads than the opposition. But it all comes down to where left meets right I suppose.

Who exactly are these people?

Mostly the perpetually p*ssed off crowd.

In their mind, no one is conservative enough (except maybe for Pat Buchanan) so they'd rather see the country destroyed rather than it be run by someone who doesn't fit their criteria.

While they make lots of noise, they're insignificant as they don't vote or vote some fringe third party. The only place they are disproportionally represented is on sites such as this.

President Bush, NOT liberals, split some conservatives on the UAE port deal, just as he did with Harriet Miers and just as he has with ZERO action on illegal immigration. For all President Bush has done well in 5+ years he gets a C- at best in my book because of his inablity to take significant action in stopping lawbreakers from crossing the border.

Hopefully Tancredo will run in '08 so this issue is front and center in the Presidential campaign.

Well...they make for some, uhm, rollicking debate. That's always fun. But PPOed sure isn't a great way to live your life.

I'm still really quiet about being here in the general public. I'm afraid that people will think I'm part of that particular faction. I joined last year after lurking since about '97...so many of the names aren't new to me. (I even get TLBshow jokes!) It's just that I've never met one of these PPOs in real life, so I'm still trying to figure where they come from and why they perceive the world the way they do.

I did say this is not the way to go about changing things. There is a very important difference.

We must start somewhere. This is not it, but every other way that has been proposed has been shot down as not good enough.

And so...we are careening wildly towards Sheehan territory.

The President is the one personally responsible for the actions resulting from his own behavior and decisions. He screwed up his immigration policy when he favored the wishes of the cheap-labor faction after the 9-11 attack.

The Islamic fanatics couldn't help but see the easy avenue into our country and had a ready network of established mosques here to hide and move them. They're here - don't lie to yourselves. What saves us is the sheer awe of American freedoms that overwhelms almost all who come here. Al Queda agents must laugh amongst themselves about the missions they ditched while enjoying far better lives than they had in the caves and deserts.

So it's enigmatically worse and better than most people think. I just happen to believe the current leadership is enjoying the benefits of our established system rather than any smoke they currently blow up the backsides of their constituents.

But it's all a moot point if we don't re-instill respect for our historical accomplishments and establishing values.

I'm a FReeper who has had it with my tax money going to pay for social services, education, etc. of people from other countries breaking the laws of our country.

I'm not against immigration, JUST AGAINST illegal immigration! I want to see it stopped dead in it's tracks immediately, IMMEDIATELY!!!, by deploying the military (rotating National Guard units) to our southern border tomorrow, MONDAY MARCH 13TH, 2006!!!

And shall I go into all the crimes being committed by illegal alien lawbreakers. How many police officers have been shot and killed by the thugs that make it across the border. And MS-13? And who else?
