Oh, brother. So this is how they'll spin it. And ignore all other evidence.

Yes, I'm sure some of the US papers and nightly "news" shows will follow this lead.

They will if they can increase the number of "anonymous sources" and "sources close to the administration".

This will probably get more quotes from the MSM than the 40,000 boxes of material GW ordered to be released.

They had this one ready to go when the release of the 40,000 boxes of real data hit.

I've just skimmed the Foreign Affairs article, but this is clearly yet another case of a liberal-left "reporter" cherry-picking what he can twist to try to make the Bush administration look bad. For me, what first jumped out in a big way was the report's assertion that France and Russia had so convinced Saddam that they would back him to the hilt in the UN Security Council that there was no way he felt he even needed to consider backing down!!!!

Yes, what is really significant from this report on 'internal' deliberations of the Iraqi regime is that France and Russia basically caused the confrontation to be unresolvable short of war. They made Saddam believe that they could keep the USA out of Iraq, instead of making him believe that he HAD TO comply completely with UN inspections and Security Council resolutions.

Yep, it had the usual buzz-words and spin in it.

According to this report, Saddam was insisting that full access be given to weapons inspectors "in order not to give President Bush any excuses to start a war".

What? Did Saddam tell them this? Or Baghdad Bob

That it. I'm done. The final straw has been broken.

Bush lied, he's a failure as President. So, Bush needs to be.....

impeached, censured, prison for life, target practice for Cheney, written up, spanked, beaten with a noodle, sent to his room, no dinner, given a time out in the corner, grounded from Air Force One, sent to daddy for a stern talking too, made to wear a funny hat, made to pick up the dog poop, sent to the DNC to listen to Howard Dean for 8 hours.

Pretend DU moonbat ranting. This little bit of nonsense will send the DU moonbats over the edge.

Do you remember that poussy DeVellipin making the scene after all those UN meetings? I think that he was the main enabler for Saddam's dreams of beating the US. Seen him lately on TV while France is overrun with junior AlQueda fighters?

True or not, Saddam's absence from power and the democratization of Iraq is a good thing. :)

I still reckon the WMDs were shipped across the border while the UN buggerized around!

Rumsfeld said he knew where they were.

An anti-spin statement to say the least.

How dared you make sense and spoil the spin directive of the press!

Rumsfeld said he knew where they were.

Based upon an intelligence network that obtained information received from many sources including Iraqi dissidents in Saddams cabinet who were as duped as the CIA.

This little bit of nonsense will send the DU moonbats over the edge.

Ahhm, are you insinuating that multiple edges are available for the moonbats to go over?

After all, going over the edge is what created the namesake of "Moonbat" in the first place.... ; )
