I was just teasing with you! It still is very puzzling that liberalism creeps around while conservatism stays pretty static. The good thing is that that we conservatives tend to stick together well in blocks.

Modern Liberalism spreads from the urban areas into the suburban. As areas get more crowded, the percieved need for social programs etc. increases.
New Jersey is a perfect example. 30 years ago, it was a firm Republican state. As suburbia extended outward from New York and Philadelphia into the rural areas of the state, democrat influence increased proportionally.
If you look at the county breakdown for NJ, the densley populated poorer counties tend to vote democrat while the rural more affluent counties vote Republican.
The three wealthiest counties in New Jersey (Hunterdon, Morris & Somerset) have been and still are Republican. They are also three of the top 10 wealthiest counties in the United States. The three poorest counties (Camden, Essex & Hudson) have been democrat strongholds for decades.
Unfortunately for New Jersey, the urban area votes exceed the suburban and rural votes.

No liberal or Yankee attitude from me. I am looking forward to the move, people seem real nice there. My husband is currently working there and he likes the can do attitude of the people.

PS. You can buy as many guns as you want, concealed carry is a right, you can own full auto if you want. The down side is that you have to pump your own gas.
