Joining with people across this nation in praying today for our country, our President, and our troops.
I pray my e-mail to the President willbe recieved-that the
President will be moved to Act NOW to honor the legislation by Reps. Duncan Hunter, and Randy Cunningham-and hear the call by Mayor Jerry Sanders to save the Veterans Memorial
on Mt.Soledad-and Impeach the godless unjust Federal Judge
Gordon Thompson before that skag can do any more damage to
our Country-There simply is NO Separation of Church and State in our Constitution-The Mt.Soledad Cross ought be protected as a national treasure having stood since 1913
(or 1954 if one quibbles about form)and our Judges ought be
reminded the Constitution is a written instrument whose meaning does not alter. What it meant when adopted ,it means now.And there is NO room for this Soviet Comunist concept of a godless constitution governing a godless society.
He made a good proclamation, I think:
National Day of Prayer, 2006
A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America
Throughout our Nation's history, our citizens have prayed and come together before God to offer Him gratitude, reflect on His will, seek His aid, and respond to His grace. On this National Day of Prayer, we thank God for His many blessings and His care of our country.
God has greatly blessed the American people, and in 1789, George Washington proclaimed: "It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and to humbly implore His protection and favor." Americans remain a prayerful and thankful people. We pray for the safety of our troops as they carry out dangerous missions with courage and compassion, and we remember the strength and sacrifice of their families. We pray for the good people of the Gulf Coast region as they work to rebuild their communities after the devastating hurricanes of 2005, and we thank God for the volunteers who have opened their hearts to help their neighbors in a time of need. We pray for the protection of innocent lives and for the expansion of peace and liberty throughout the world.
Through prayer, our faith is strengthened, our hearts are humbled, and our lives are transformed. May our Nation always have the humility to trust in the goodness of God's plans.
The Congress, by Public Law 100-307, as amended, has called on our Nation to reaffirm the role of prayer in our culture and to respect the freedom of religion by recognizing each year a "National Day of Prayer."
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 4, 2006, as a National Day of Prayer. I ask the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, each according to his or her own faith, for the freedoms and blessings we have received and for God's continued guidance and protection. I urge all Americans to join in observing this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this third day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand six, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirtieth.
GEORGE W. BUSH
Is a true Christian-- or a globalist?
I like to think of America as...A NATION BEING INVADED!!!! Help me I live is a sea of illegals!!!!!!!!!!
And he runs to get the popcorn out of the microwave. . .
Doesn't it take a certain belief in God to be mad when someone prays for you? I mean, if they don't believe, why do they care?
It's 12:40 here and our office of 150 just finished a half-hour corporate time of prayer for our country, the President and all our leaders. There were no no-shows. It was great.
God
Think a minute - a president is president of all people - not just any segment of the population.
Now - this country is free to pray or not. All men are free to pray or not. How is this pandering?
He speaks the truth - American people are very diverse and each is under the President of the United States. How thoughtful of him to include all Americans in his speeches.
I would expect it of him.
So you have a problem with Americans being free to worship as they please, or not worship at all?
The Great I AM. Not I was, or I will be or I might be.
I AM.
No. I have a problem with the President - or his speechwriters - feeling the need to mention the non-believers and non-prayers in an event on the National Day of Prayer in a room full of religious leaders.
I like telling non- believers that I will pray for them. It's almost like sprinkling holy water on them sometimes.
If you really want to see some cringe, start praying.
That's the one, Yahweh.
Muslims pray five times a day, Nathan do you think they are praying for us?
Are you praying for them?
