North American Union to Replace USA? ("is this the plan?" alert!)
HumanEventsOnline.com ^ | 5/19/2006 | Jerome R. Corsi

Posted on 05/19/2006 6:56:03 AM PDT by Dark Skies

President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.

Secretly, the Bush administration is pursuing a policy to expand NAFTA to include Canada, setting the stage for North American Union designed to encompass the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. What the Bush administration truly wants is the free, unimpeded movement of people across open borders with Mexico and Canada.

President Bush intends to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed.

The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union:

At their meeting in Waco, Texas, at the end of March 2005, U.S. President George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin committed their governments to a path of cooperation and joint action. We welcome this important development and offer this report to add urgency and specific recommendations to strengthen their efforts.

What is the plan? Simple, erase the borders. The plan is contained in a "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" little noticed when President Bush and President Fox created it in March 2005:

In March 2005, the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States adopted a Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), establishing ministerial-level working groups to address key security and economic issues facing North America and setting a short deadline for reporting progress back to their governments. President Bush described the significance of the SPP as putting forward a common commitment "to markets and democracy, freedom and trade, and mutual prosperity and security." The policy framework articulated by the three leaders is a significant commitment that will benefit from broad discussion and advice. The Task Force is pleased to provide specific advice on how the partnership can be pursued and realized.

To that end, the Task Force proposes the creation by 2010 of a North American community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity. We propose a community based on the principle affirmed in the March 2005 Joint Statement of the three leaders that "our security and prosperity are mutually dependent and complementary." Its boundaries will be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter within which the movement of people, products, and capital will be legal, orderly and safe. Its goal will be to guarantee a free, secure, just, and prosperous North America.

The perspective of the CFR report allows us to see President Bush's speech to the nation as nothing more than public relations posturing and window dressing. No wonder President Vincente Fox called President Bush in a panic after the speech. How could the President go back on his word to Mexico by actually securing our border? Not to worry, President Bush reassured President Fox. The National Guard on the border were only temporary, meant to last only as long until the public forgets about the issue, as has always been the case in the past.

The North American Union plan, which Vincente Fox has every reason to presume President Bush is still following, calls for the only border to be around the North American Union -- not between any of these countries. Or, as the CFR report stated:

The three governments should commit themselves to the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the current intensity of the governments’ physical control of cross-border traffic, travel, and trade within North America. A long-term goal for a North American border action plan should be joint screening of travelers from third countries at their first point of entry into North America and the elimination of most controls over the temporary movement of these travelers within North America.

Discovering connections like this between the CFR recommendations and Bush administration policy gives credence to the argument that President Bush favors amnesty and open borders, as he originally said. Moreover, President Bush most likely continues to consider groups such as the Minuteman Project to be "vigilantes," as he has also said in response to a reporter's question during the March 2005 meeting with President Fox.

Why doesn’t President Bush just tell the truth? His secret agenda is to dissolve the United States of America into the North American Union. The administration has no intent to secure the border, or to enforce rigorously existing immigration laws. Securing our border with Mexico is evidently one of the jobs President Bush just won't do. If a fence is going to be built on our border with Mexico, evidently the Minuteman Project is going to have to build the fence themselves. Will President Bush protect America's sovereignty, or is this too a job the Minuteman Project will have to do for him?

Prolific doesn't mean crap.

There are a lot of "prolific" liberal writers too...it doesn't mean they are right.

I remember when Schlafly first came to prominence as an opponent of the ERA (which I was and still am opposed to). I didn't have a problem with her opposition...but some of her ideas, particularly "forced unisex bathrooms" were pretty dang silly.

Oh...and Bill Buckley says that The Beatles didn't have any talent.

I'll let that speak for itself.

For this to be true, then both the Democrats and Republicans must be in on it. For this to be true, every President before President Bush, and every President after President Bush must be in on it. For this to be true, most members of Congress must be in on it.

That is a lot of people to be in on a conspiracy to betray our nation.

If true, would it not be better if those in on the conspiracy get along better (I mean, why would the Democrats try to destroy the effectiveness of the President, if he is doing what they want done?)

If true, why doesn't Mexico at least go through the motions of controlling their border?

I mean, if I was part of a grand conspiracy, the last thing I would want to do would be to stir up the population against the one thing I was trying to accomplish.

Conspiracy de Jour

I remember some years ago here on FR a huge thread dealing with a plot by the legislative and executive branch to declare a national emergency, invoke martial law and turn over all power to FEMA.

There were copious quotations and links showing all the power that FEMA would wield with a stroke of the President's pen.

Also I remember for a couple of years reading the rantings of the many loudmouths screaming that civilization was going to end, and mass starvation would begin on Y2K.

I'll say the same thing to you all that I said to all of them.

You're nuts.

Now go get your bottled water and dehydrated beans and get in your bomb shelters before the black helicopters come and take you away.

Anyone with half a brain should be able to figure out that the open borders/dual language packaging/establishment of Mexican consulates all over the country/V.Fox running our immigration policy are nothing more than "conditioning tactics" used by the "post America" crowd in DC to force Americans to accept the new order of things.

Thanks to the useful idiots in print media and the mix of yammering talking heads on radio who are providing plenty of cover, the "de-construct America" crowd is progressing nicely.

Socialists of every stripe have always longed for a World Republic.. which will morph into a World Democracy.. hinted at from the git go.. i.e. Marx, Lenin others..

Communists ARE socialists you see.. but not all socialists are communists.. they just think alike.. More and More givernment is a good thing.. Givernment will balance and cure all ills.. or most of them.. Thats the drill..

Any borders should be borders of States in the World Republic.. Most all of URP and most all American democrats, RINOs, China, and Russia is on board this train..

The World Republic composed of various States.. The United States must be a test case for them.. On HOW to reduce the World Republic into a World Democracy, you know, like whats happening right now in the United States.. makeing the U.S. a democracy instead of a Republic..

Thats the charter of Free Republic, To SEE things like this.. except to KEEP the United States a Free Republic instead of a Free Democracy.. The United States is literally the ONLY country left on earth that could STOP this form happening.. OR WANTS TO.. Looks like we be losing too..

Democracy is the road to socialism. Karl Marx

Democracy is indispensable to socialism. The goal of socialism is communism. V.I. Lenin

There are lackeys out there that carry the torch - Cheney is one of 'em. That's what they do.

Right. The same administration that appointed John Bolton as UN ambassador despite the the wishes of the "global community" and went to war in Iraq, also against the global community's wishes, is now supposed to be some sort of suck up to it?

Read her book “What I saw at the Revolution”. Peggy Noonan admits in it she is an FDR liberal and always will be. She is also a very emotional woman who writes her columns based on whims--- that’s why opinion journal readers learned about her infatuation with Tom Cruise when she ran into him in the gym. She’s a very talented writer, but she is a very poor analyst. Her insights typically consist of this sort of emotion based, factless reporting:

History has been too dramatic the past 3 1/2 years. It has been too exciting. Economic recession, 9/11, war, Afghanistan, Iraq, fighting with Europe. fighting with the U.N., boys going off to fight, Pat Tillman, beheadings. It has been so exciting. And my general sense of Americans is that we like things to be boring.

In short, aside from her superior literary talent, she’s a more conservative version of Maureen Dowd.

...a world of business and sovereign nations only serve to restrict business operations and ultimately, profits. Who needs borders? Free trade, cheap labor, and open borders for all!

This view is not hinted at darkly, but rather proclaimed proudly, by The Wall Street Journal. The Bush Administration appears to be following this agenda as far its political survival will allow. More of a misguided ideology than a conspiracy, and therefore all the more pernicious.

You might be surprised to know that we've been under a 'state of emergency' for quite some time now which allows a Pres. to operate outside that Constitution by issuing "executive orders" which are NEVER overturned by the lapdogs in Congress........remember Paul Begala's famous quote?.....stroke of the pen, law of the land......kinda cool".

Title-50 War and National Defense subsection 783 states - "It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to combine, conspire, or agree with any other person to perform any act which would substantially contribute to the establishment within the United States of a totalitarian dictatorship, the direction and control of which is to be vested in, or exercised by or under the domination of control of, any foreign government."

The Council on Foreign Relations are in violation of Title-50 War and National Defense subsection 783. The Council on Foreign Relations has unlawfully and knowingly combined, conspired, and agreed to substantially contribute to the establishment of one world order under the totalitarian dictatorship, the direction and the control of members of Council on Foreign Relations, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, and members of Round Table branch organizations in various nations throughout the world.

We already know our laws are not being obeyed, one needs to look no further than our borders not being protected. And illegals perhaps getting amnesty.
