QUID PRO COAL2:
CLINTON CORRUPTION + THE SEQUESTRATION OF GASEOUS FOSSILS

(HILLARY DOES COAL AT THE NATIONAL PRESS CLUB)

by Mia T, 4.27.06

But we have to deal with coal, because we have huge resources of coal. Coal is to us what oil is to Saudi Arabia. And part of our domestic strategy must involve coal.

But unless we learn to burn it cleanly, the price of independence from imported oil by using coal will be accelerated global warming. Even if the United States never burned another lump of coal, China is bringing on-line a 1,000 megawatt coal-fired power plant every 10 days. So if we're going to reassert our leadership on climate change -- which I think we should -- we've got to deal with coal....

Geologic sequestration, storing carbon deep within the earth after you extract the carbon from the burning coal, holds the key to making coal use compatible with the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions....

CLEAN COAL, DIRTY CLINTONS

How can you sell-out your country to foreign interests and have it appear to be a courageous act of environmental protection? The clintons show you how....

QUID PRO COAL

The Lippo Group is a consortium, part-owned by billionaire Moctar Riady. PT Lippo also provides financing to "brother-in-law" Hashim for his coal mining company that supplies Paiton.

Hashim is himself a key figure. While serving as the minister for mines under Suharto, Hashim also managed to purchase the world's only "low sulfur" coal mine.

His financial backers include Moctar Riady's PT Lippo and, his sister-in-law, Prawabo.

Hashim and Moctar Riady both found themselves with a global monopoly thanks to Bill Clinton's executive order for the 1.7 million-acre Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah, over the only other known "low sulfur" deposit.

The connections between Riady and Clinton have a much more sinister theme than coal monopolies and taxpayer backed power plants in the middle of Asia. Testimony before Senator Thompson's committee in 1998 revealed Moctar Riady's involvement in Chinese espionage.

Testimony revealed the Lippo Group is in fact a joint venture of China Resources, a trading and holding company "wholly owned" by the Chinese communist government and used as a front for Chinese espionage operations. Thus, behind all the front companies, the communist leaders in Beijing have triumphed again....

s the Washington press corps slumped into unconsciousness listening to missus clinton's jargon-laden droning about the sequestration of noxious byproducts of burning fossil fuel--it became increasingly clear that the fossil1 emissions of most concern were the gaseous effluences coming from the jargoneer, herself.

A "smartest woman in the world" would have had the good sense to limit her sequestrations to what she knows best--supoenaed Rose-Law records, say... or the Republicans' raw FBI files... or, more on point, Proclamation No. 6920 and quid-pro-quo coal.2

TWO BIRDS, ONE STONE

If the purpose of missus clinton's carefully choreographed if transparent and "achingly dull" speech was to dispel the increasingly held notion that she ain't all that smart, well, it backfired. Hardly trippingly-on-the-tongue techno-talk (even when not spoon-fed to her by aides and handlers) does not a brainiac image make.

But it is more than that. There is something about missus clinton's execution--the cadence perhaps--or maybe it's the all-too-familiar shopping-list structure so favored by her equally uncreative
3 husband--that signals technical discomfort, if not downright ignorance and stupidity. Her recent nanotech harangue is another example of this techno-bumbling.

As a matter of fact, missus clinton, herself, confirms her less than stellar technical credentials. Her Olympian lament, you may recall, told the sad story of her having to chuck math and science for politics because she just didn't have the right stuff.

Oh! How much better off the country would be today if only missus clinton could do calculus....

THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH

If the purpose of missus clinton's speech was to out-Gore
Al "
an inconvenient truth" Gore, it didn't accomplish that, either.... Missus clinton is simply not credible, even if we were to discount quid pro coal....

DIRTY CLINTONS PITCH CLEAN COAL

When the clintons signed Proclamation No. 6920 designating 1.7 million acres of land in southwest Utah as the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, they sold out our country to foreign interests even as they promoted the act as one of environmental courage.

The deal, "initiated by the clintons just seven weeks before the 1996 election," was later characterized in a congressional staff report "as a blatant political act under the guise of environmental protection.... 'The only thing the president was trying to protect by designating the Utah Monument was his chance to win re-election,' the report bluntly states. 'The 'threat' motivating the president's action was electoral, not environmental.'"4

With the simple stroke of a pen, the clintons:

  • locked up our massive supply of clean-burning "low sulfur' coal

  • gave a global monopoly of the stuff to Moctar Riady, their personal moneybags as far back as Dixiecrat Mafia days

  • decreased our national security by increasing our dependence on Mideast oil...

  • increased our future energy costs

  • increased the liklihood of future damage to the environment

All this as they fooled the naive Redford enviro-nuts yet one more time.

And now, from her vulturine perch on the national stage, as if none of this went down, missus clinton is pitching 'clean coal' to solve our energy problems.

Would someone on the Left kindly do us all a favor and use the hook on this grotesquerie already? Please!

THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

And oh, that brings me to what is really the overriding issue: The intersection of clinton corruption and massive, incurable clinton conflict of interest.

There are millions of dollars from foreign entities--maybe even billions--sluicing nonstop into the clinton-family coffers. There is NO WAY the clintons can ever cure this massive conflict of interest. None. Not even impoverishment would do it.

We know that whenever the clintons had to choose between national interest and self-interest, they invariably chose self-interest. We cannot, therefore--we must not--allow these two to retake the White House. Ever.

Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, Shame on me.

The Utah Coal Lockup: A trillion dollar Lippo payoff?

By Sarah Foster

When the President signed the Executive Order designating 1.7 million acres of land in southwest Utah as the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, his action placed the area off limits to mineral extraction and development.

The New York Times reported that the monument encloses the largest coal field in the nation, the Kaiparowitz Plateau, which contains at least 7 billion tons of coal worth over $1 TRILLION.

Kentucky-based company Andalux Resources, which holds leases on 3,400 acres in the area, was planning to open a huge operation (underground, not strip mining) that would have generated 1,000 jobs, $1 million in annual revenue for Kane County, and at least $10 million a year in state and federal taxes, according to the New York Times. Folks living in the area wore black arm bands the day o the signing - but Clinton didn't see them. He chose to make his announcement in a neighboring state. WHY?

Why did he do it? Why lock up $1 trillion worth of coal?

An obvious explanation is he was hoping to secure the environmentalist vote. Though that was no doubt part of his reasoning, he had surely achieved such an objective earlier this summer when he declared the huge area outside Yellowstone National Park a World Heritage Area. Let'' look further.

In the weeks prior to the past election, revelations surfaced almost daily regarding donations from foreign sources to the Democratic Party and Clinton's past campaigns. At the center of the controversy was another set of people to whom Clinton owes a few favors: the Lippo Group, a powerful $5 billion Indonesian conglomerate, founded and owned by the Riady family who, it turned out, had raised and funneled millions of dollars into campaign coffers.

Democrats attempted to downplay the allegations of impropriety. Even if the Clinton campaign and the Party did receive illegal contribution--which is denied--what, they demanded, had Clinton done for Lippo Group, the Riadys, or Indonesia that really affects this country adversely? Good question.

The Payoff

Clinton's announcement at the Grand Canyon was wrapped in political correctness. "Mining jobs are good jobs, and mining is important to our national security - but we can't have mines everywhere, and we shouldn't have mines that threaten national treasures," he told his sycophantic audience.

But coal is not only important for our nation's security. More importantly, at the present time it is the most cost-effective fuel for the electric plants that supply our homes and industries with light, heat and power.

Moreover, the coal at Kaiporowitz Plateau is a kind of coal that is not found "everywhere." It is very low sulfur, low ash - hence, low polluting--coal, the kind in high demand for power plants, such as one being designed for Ensenada, Mexico. That megawatt giant, presently on the drawing boards, will supply electricity across northern Baja, an area plagued by brownouts.

Had it not been taken off the world market, the logical source of coal for the Baja plant would be the Kaiparowitz Plateau. Once mined it could be transported by rail to the ports of Long Beach or Los Angeles, then by barge to Ensenada. Thanks to Clinton, there will be no exporting of Kaiparowitz coal, which means the facility's procurement people will have to look elsewhere for clean non-polluting fuel.

Only two other sources

Besides the Kaiparowitz Plateau, there are only two other known locations in the world where comparable coal is found in sufficient quantities to make mining it worthwhile. Colombia in South America is one, but it'll be years before the necessary mining and shipping infrastructure is built.

The other? You got it. Indonesia.

That's right - the coal fields of South Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. Big plans are online for its development. Indonesia has been a source of coal for over a century, but the coal varies sharply in terms of quality. Recently, however, a coal that is very low in sulfur has been discovered. A number of coal companies are already there, and it's a good bet Lippo Group money is involved. A major company is Adaro Indonesia, of which 20 percent is owned by the Spanish government, 50 percent by New Hope Corp., an Australian firm.

Envirocoal

According to the 1994 report Mineral Industry of Indonesia, by the bureau of Mines, U.S. Dept. of Interior, Adaro aims to produce 15 million tones by the year 2000 of what they call Envirocoal - a reference to its quality. Adaro has for several years anticipated the U.S. as a major market, and has one committed purchaser already: Tampa Electric Co., which signed a long-term contract to purchase 400,000 tones a year from the Indonesian firm.

To handle the shipping of the increased production, new shipping terminals are being constructed. One huge one is on a neighboring island at a cost of $1 billion. The P.T. Indonesia bulk Terminal, as the megaport is called, is owned 50 percent by New How, and 50 percent by "Indonesian interests" (the Lippo Group perhaps), according to the Interior Dept. report.

Massive coal deposits, massive shipping facilities - that spells massive investment, massive contracts. This isn't some small-is-beautiful eco-operation. We're talking real money here, and it's hard to imagine that the "Lippopotamus" is not in on the action. But even if Lippo's not directly involved, the Indonesian government, with which Lippo has a cozy relationship, certainly does. So too will the various foreign investors and mining companies to whom the Indonesian government has extended an open invitation.

Winners and Losers

In any game there are winners and losers, and there are Americans in the first category - the investors who put their money in overseas coal mining, producers of natural gas, which the administration supports wholeheartedly.

Plus, there's a deal between a Little Rock firm and Lippo. According to the ENERGY ECONOMIST for Sept., 1994, Entergy Group of Little Rock, in partnership with the Lippo Group of Hong Kong, signed a memorandum of understanding with the North China Power Corporation for the cooperative management and expansion of the $1 billion 1,200 megawatt coal-fired Daton 2 power plan in Shanxi Province. Isn't that interesting And where do you think the coal will come from?

The Democrats' question: What has Clinton done for Indonesia that harms the United States? The answer is - with a stroke of his pen he wiped out the only significant competition to Indonesian coal interests in the world market before it even got started, a move that at the same time relegates this country to importer status. His edict will force us into eventual dependency on foreign producers of coal as we are presently dependent on overseas sources for oil - an unconscionable situation considering that we have abundant deposits of both commodities.

The President has given our children a legacy of continued energy dependence, marked by contrived shortages and crises, the full impact of which will be sharply felt in the years to come.

Rumor has it William Jefferson Clinton himself is to recite Honest Abe's lines in this New Year's Eve pageant. Whoever writes these scripts has a natural talent for irony. For some irrepressible reason, one cannot help but think of that costume party in "The Manchurian Candidate,'' complete with Red Queen and Abe Lincoln in stovepipe hat and fake beard.

Hillary Clinton says it's a great opportunity to unite the nation. (The way she's united New York?) But the Clintons are never so polarizing as when they are intent on uniting us. How can that be? Maybe it's their perfectly fabricated authenticity. The Nineties have had much the same effect, stirring the same vague dissatisfactions -- and sparking sudden outbursts of temper. What was it that poor, embarrassed David Brinkley, thinking his mike was off, said after the president's victory speech in '96: "We all look forward with great pleasure to four years of wonderful, inspiring speeches, full of wit, poetry, music, love and affection, plus more goddam nonsense.''

Still not finished, Mr. Brinkley added that this president "has not a creative bone in his body. Therefore, he's a bore, and will always be a bore.'' Oh, dear. The commentator's unintentionally public thoughts were all the more embarrassing for being so widely shared by any Americans still sentient four years into the Age of Clinton. But it's one thing to notice such things, quite another to say them out loud. Why belabor the obvious?

It isn't that they can't see the solution. It is that they can't see the problem.

G. K. Chesterton

... While America appears not to be ready for a female president under any circumstances, the post-9/11 realities pose special problems for a female presidential candidate. Add to these the problems unique to missus clinton. The reviews make the mistake of focusing on the problems of the generic female presidential candidate running during ordinary times.

These are not ordinary times. America is waging the global War on Terror; the uncharted territory of asymmetric netherworlds is the battlefield; the enemy is brutal, subhuman; the threat of global conflagration is real.

Defeating the enemy isn't sufficient. For America to prevail, she must also defeat a retrograde, misogynous mindset. To successfully prosecute the War on Terror, it is essential that the collective patriarchal islamic culture perceives America as politically and militarily strong. Condi Rice excepted, this requirement presents an insurmountable hurdle for any female presidential candidate, and especially missus clinton, historically antimilitary--(an image, incidentally, that is only enhanced today by her clumsy, termagant parody of Thatcher), forever the pitiful victim, and, according to Dick Morris, "the biggest dove in the clinton administration."

It is ironic that had the clintons not failed utterly to fight terrorism... not failed to take bin Laden from Sudan... not failed repeatedly to decapitate a nascent, still stoppable al Qaeda... the generic female president as a construct would still be viable... missus clinton's obstacles would be limited largely to standard-issue clintonisms: corruption, abuse, malpractice, malfeasance, megalomania, rape and treason... and, in spite of Juanita Broaddrick, or perhaps because of her, Rod Lurie would be reduced to perversely hawking the "First Gentleman" instead of the "Commander-in-Chief."

RE: a not-so-modest proposal concerning hillary clinton

Dear Concerned Americans,

Hillary Clinton's revisionist tome notwithstanding, 'living history' begets a certain symmetry. It is in that light that I make this not-so-modest proposal on this day, exactly 64 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The context of our concern today--regardless of political affiliation--is Iraq and The War on Terror, but the larger fear is that our democracy may not survive.

We have the requisite machines, power and know-how to defeat the enemy in Iraq and elsewhere, but do we have the will?

In particular, do we have the will to identify and defeat the enemy in our midst?

Answerable to no one, heir apparent in her own mind, self-serving in the extreme, Hillary Clinton incarnates this insidious new threat to our survival.

What we decide to do about Missus Clinton will tell us much about what awaits us in these perilous new times.

WHY HILLARY IN THE OVAL OFFICE IS A NATIONAL-SECURITY NO-NOPART ONE
EXPENSIVE CHINA: the clinton legacy

by Mia T et al, 10.17.03, 03.01.06

It is no secret that Hillary's past takes us through a pile of hard, cold cash from the Chinese army, Chinese army agents roaming the White House and photos with a wide variety of scoundrels.

For example, the one prominent name missing from Hillary's recent "tell-all" book is Riady. Mrs. Clinton failed to mention the Riady family at all. One would get the impression that the Riadys were not present in the Clinton White House. Hillary Clinton certainly overlooked listing the table settings and menus for White House dinners with the Riadys.

The Riadys knew the Clintons from their Arkansas years, when Moctar bought out a local bank. Moctar and his son James were close to Bill and Hillary through 1992 and into the White House. Moctar even owned the firm selected by Hillary Clinton to replace the White House travel office.

Riady and Hillary

Moctar and James Riady played a key role in bringing the Clintons to power in Washington. The Indonesian billionaire and his Lippo banking company managed to contribute large sums of money to the Clintons' campaigns even though it was against the law. Moctar's gardener contributed $450,000 directly to Bill Clinton in a single check. James Riady, Moctar's son, eventually pleaded guilty to campaign violations.

The connections between the Riadys and the Clintons have a much more sinister theme than simple foreign money inside U.S. elections. Testimony before the U.S. Senate revealed Moctar Riady's involvement in Chinese espionage. The Lippo Group is in fact a joint venture of China Resources, a trading and holding company "wholly owned" by the Chinese communist government and used as a front for Chinese espionage operations.

Mrs. Clinton not only knew the Riadys but took their money as well. To prove my point I need only to cite photographic evidence. Her picture with Moctar Riady is certainly damning evidence of a relationship that spanned several bank accounts and two decades. It is often said that a picture tells a thousand words. However, Hillary's pictures not only tell stories left out of her book but they also netted $10,000 each for the DNC in illegal donations.

Hillary's Most-Wanted

Mrs. Clinton has left us with a wide selection of photo evidence. Mrs. Clinton has had her photo taken with drug dealer Jorge Cabrera. Jorge donated a load of drug money to the DNC in order to get close to the first lady. Jorge is currently serving federal time for smuggling 3,000 pounds of cocaine into the United States.

I think I will say this again:

"Thus, clinton mediocrity goes undetected primarily because of media mediocrity. ("Mediocrity" and "media" don't come from the same Latin root (medius) for no reason.) Insofar as the clintons are concerned, the media confuse form with substance, smoothness with coherence, data-spewing with ratiocination, pre-programmed recitation with real-time analysis, an idiosyncratic degeneracy with creativity."

Just as we Citizen-Activists were gaining headway in 1997 in stopping the City of Long Beach from turning over our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base to the Communist Chinese for their cash going to the CLINTON White House...

...both Sen. BARBARA BOXER & DIANE FEINSTEIN (D) publically announced they were giving back the $10,000 in China Army money they had recieved. A week later Rep. LORETTA SANCHEZ (D) announced that she was also going to return her $1,000 contribution from the Communist Chinese.

In his plea agreement hearing in U.S. Federal Court 5 years ago JAMES RIADY stated under oath that not a single nickel in China Army money had been returned to him by the Democrats. JOHNNY CHUNG also confirmed that the $1,000 in Communist Chinese money he gave to Rep. LORETTA SANCHEZ had not been returned either.

After we helped Congress stop President CLINTON from turning our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base over to the Communist Chinese, Friend of HILLARY Long Beach Mayor BEVERLY O'NEILL (D) publically announced that she was going to flatten it anyway. Even though she had no firm planned usage for it afterwards in the Port of Long Beach, California.

As the Communist Chinese smiled broadly as an important Pacific Rim Naval support base in the fight over the future of a Free Taiwan nation was going away.

Funny, and I thought her interest in provoking (er, promoting) a war there was ti

(1) distract attention from the impeachment that had been defeated a few weeks before

(2) get pictures of refugees and railroad cars for her NY jewish promotions dept for her upcoming campaign as a socially-conscious liberal

(3) finish her coordination and re-invention campaign hashed out with the news media in a week-long, closed-door White House conference (that nobody has YET to comment on!)

Note these are similar to the deposits at Escalante Staircase National Monument: low sulfur, low ash lignite, near surface with low overburden. Tough for the Serbs to strip mine coal in the middle of a war, though. And that left the Lippo group (Riyadys) with the market. What a two-fer. Payola and a dog-wag.

...Suen Yan Kwong, was the founder of Chung Kiu Telecommunication, which had invested in cellular telecommunications for use under special network by China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) in military districts along the coastal provinces," noted the December 2002 State Department charge letter.

It is amazing that a company based inside a Macao hotel owned by Ng Lapseng would contract with a U.S.-based satellite company when its owner was then also in business supplying communications to the Chinese army. Even more amazing is the Clintons' silence on Ng Lapseng and the money that somehow slipped out of his pockets and into DNC coffers at the same time.

Hmmmmmmm, what does Hillary have to say?

There is a process called coal gassification where you can turn coal into synthetic gasoline. the Germans during WWII, used this method for their supply of diesel and high octane gasoline fuel. The South Africans currently use this method for their diesel supply. Its a gritty process because low grade coal is used, but if you use "clean coal" is used maybe we can augment our tight gasoline supply. Shell Oil is currently researching this to increase their market.

Blade Runner is good representation of the effects of a Clinton Dynasty. Consider also Terry Guilame's "BRAZIL" swat teams of HVAC repairmen with powers of arrest and secret detention. Much more on point with the mentality that holds as one of its deepest ideals the attempted regulation of CO2 gas release, based upon AL Gore's liberal arts D minus "understanding" of basic science.

In the beginning you might need a governmental subsidies but when more people invest in those companies you can eliminate them. Similar when the US government invested in space program in the 1960s. When more people begin to use the fuel and profits begin to rise then the government can cut its investment. Possibly for their trouble that the government gets a percentage of the profits for its investment in research and development. Or you can form a conglomerate of companies to subsidize the development of the technology like Shell Deutschland Oil

I was considering economic viability from a different angle, i.e., whether the cost in terms of fuel expended exceeds the return in terms of fuel produced.

I understand. Cost will be expensive at first but over time as demand increases prices will drop. It will give people a choice bewtween a product that supports contries like Iran, who are using American dollars to build their nuclear ambutions and a product that is "Made in the USA". I rather have the my dollar stay here in the United States.
