Organizing the hijacking of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon took significant sums of money. [snip] Washington and its allies must also disable the financial networks used by terrorists.
[snip]
Much more is needed, including stricter regulations, the recruitment of specialized investigators and greater cooperation with foreign banking authorities. There must also must be closer coordination among America's law enforcement, national security and financial regulatory agencies.
[snip]
Though some smaller financial transactions are likely to slip through undetected even after new rules are in place, much of the financing needed for major attacks could dry up.

All of what you noted is true.
Maybe the SEC should look at any mutual manager and owner of the company that has invested in this money loser, the NYT.
What if the investment of our scarce capital in those funds was an attempt to keep the NY Slimes viable. They sure are not viable re dropping circulation and ad revenues.
People who have retirement funds being managed by owners of NYT stock need to stock need to start screaming at those companies to shed the loser NYT stock.

He's a little wishy-washy, but no fan of the Times.
Thanks for his e-mail address; he's added to my list.
From their article:
"Under a secret Bush administration program initiated WEEKS after the Sept. 11 attacks, counterterrorism officials have gained access to financial records from a vast international database and examined banking transactions involving thousands of Americans and others in the United States, according to government and industry officials."
______
The Times editorial was dates Sept. 24, 2001...just WEEKS after the attacks.
What a photo - Pinch must have had a spat with his gay lover who decked him.
Can someone make a "Wanted for Treason" poster with this photo and a few others such as Bill Keller, et al??
Glad you liked it. It is a cutie.
Protocol is to ping the person to the post when you use their graphics.
They can publish secrets, can they? I'd say we want to know the truth about what they [NYT] said and when they said it.
Thank you.
