Dean: 'We're About to Enter the '60s Again'

America is about to revisit one of the most turbulent decades in its history, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean told a religious conference in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. "We're about to enter the '60s again," Dean said, but he was not referring to the Vietnam War or racial tensions.

Dean said he is looking for "the age of enlightenment led by religious figures who want to greet Americans with a moral, uplifting vision."

"The problem is when we hit that '60s spot again, which I am optimistic we're about to hit, we have to make sure that we don't make the same mistakes," Dean added. See Video

Say what? The Part of Athiests which eschews having any moral standards is looking for a modern day MLK?

Dean is off his meds again.

"...we have to make sure that we don't make the same mistakes,"

Yeah, howeird, the devils always in those pesky details.

In fact I've thought for some time thay the dim party should be renamed - "The Party of Unintended Consequences" - if they are unintended.

I love it when this fool speaks. To think he's head of the DNC shows everyone that the Democrat party are irresponsible nutjobs. At this rate, they'll get trounced in November and I cannot wait.

This is the type of thing a lot of the baby boomer left is seeing, instead of the reality of here and now.

I'm a mid-boomer, born 55, and think they are so full of wanna relive their coming of age...

This guy is a certified lunatic howling at the moon. This is the same Howard Dean who left his church over a bicycle path dispute. EEEAAGH!

Never figured wimin burning their bra's, sleeping with any long haired freak that turned up, and contacting STD's in record numbers, was equivalent to the Renaissance.

Maybe you ought to re-read a history of the Renissance.

The only good thing about the 60's were the fashions. The rest was destructive and corrosive.

The television shows were more entertaining than now, too.

Having lived through the 60's, I know that these wackos want to go back to their drug puffing, feel good days. In fact, some of them probably never left it. And, then again, some of them had their brains "fried" in the 60's.

I was born in 55 too. This type of leftist behavior, still wishing for the 60's way, just baffles the befuddle out of me. You would think with the current age of boomers that some wisdom would have developed along with their level of age, maturity, education and knowledge, but for some reason their ability for development of reason and rational thought in light of current reality seems completely arrested by an outdated idealism.

Humanly speaking, it really alarms me. It honestly does. Now, from a Scriptural viewpoint I can understand it clearly, but from a purely human reasoning standpoint, their actions are an enigma to me.
