[history]
We have a sound permit, and we will be across the street from the New York Times. They are at 229 West 43rd Street. The groups on board so far are Free Republic, Caucus for America, the Congress for Racial Equality, and Protest Warrior, NYC Chapter. We have reached out to several other groups as well, and are waiting to hear back from them.
Some high-visibility media people are interested in speaking at the protest. More information will be coming on this as we gather groups and speakers.
So hold the date! If you have been as sick about the Times's unconscionable blabbing of our classified information as the rest of those who care about the nation, now is your chance to do something to make your outrage heard.

I have a bit of a hard time getting to the city.
(I get lost on roads quickly, but put me in the woods, I navigate better than most.)
If I could get there, I'd go.

Solamente, every party needs a Pooper, that's why we invited you....Party Pooper.....Party Pooper.
Don't be such a tight a$$ with the "unsolicited" canard. It's not like it took up more than two seconds of your time. You've already invested more than that bitchin' about it.
firebrand is throwing a party and invited you. See it for that and nothing else.
A simple "please remove me from your ping list" would have been the gracious way of handling it.
Looks like there will be a number of speakers you might want to come hear speak and perhaps meet. The invite still stands if you change your mind. If you need assistance getting there, we may even be able to help with that.

No need to rethink the first amendment. Might as well rethink the second one while you're at it. Waiting periods to buy an NYT. No more than one magazine supscrciption a month. Registration of reporters. Do we really want that in a free country?
There are ways to put the screws to Pinch's boys without violating the First Amendment. The feds can subpoena the editor Keller and his reporters and compel them to give up the person who leaked to the NYT in the first place, and then prosecute the leaker (Newt Gingrich's suggestion). I also supsect there might be a civil (lawsuit) remedy somewhere in the government's arsenal for the indiscretions of the NYT, WSJ, and LAT.

Oh! Well, now that changes everything! I must now decide to back off the keyboard, and kneel in repentance for not recognizing a call from loftier and more wizened Freepers!
A ping list is a ping list is a ping list. But I'm not on the one in question.
If you and firebrand want to dance in front of the NY Times, be my guest, for perchance the millisecond of footage that the MSM will show, followed by the spin of how rabid and foolish you made Conservatives look.
I'm weary. If you care to take this up later, I'll be there.

Michelle Malkin has posted a whole bunch of signs made by bloggers... That's quite an array of art work. The Times(ptoui!) has generated a lot of resentment, and all for what? Their stock has continued to decline even after their "scoop", maybe faster than before. We tried to tell 'em ;^)
