Lessee, I think Rassy had Talent trailing last time, for what that's worth. He wins this by 5%.

Rassy had Talent up by 3. MO statewide elections are nail biters. Talent lose the Governorship in 2000 by 22,000. In 2002, Talent won the Senate race by 50,000 votes. No surprise the polls are close.

Missouri ping

Low volume ping list (But there could be a little more volume with the Talent/McCaskill race heating up)

FReepmail me to be on, or off, this ping list.

The large and faithful Democrat cemetery votes in St Louis and Kansas City should be somewhat smaller with the passage of photo ID to vote law.

Alas, St Louis Alderman Red Villa, Bless his heart, dead these nearly 20 years but still faithful to the Democrat cause has cast his vote in all the elections since his burial and now one wonders if poor Red will have a current drivers license and be able to vote this fall. Oh, the humanity.

Talent in a fair election by 5%. Talent in a typical Missouri election by a hair.

And the question for McCaskill is...

If you were a Senator right now would you agree more with Senators Clinton and Lieberman, and support President Bush and the war on terror,

or would you agree more with Senators Kerry and Kennedy and want to bring the troops home right away????

Don't forget free chicken wings, lots of buses, maybe some crack here and there, and even extended election hours if necessary in East St. Louis.

The rats are going to pull out all their tricks if it is that close.

This is going to be a "well duh!" statement. But the fact of the matter is it comes down to voter turnout between St.Louis/Kansas City and "everywhere else" in the state.

Frankly after seeing Ashcroft lose (which in light of 9/11 became a Godsend)nothing in this state would suprise me.

Southwest Missouri will do our part though...of that I'm sure.

Only because...McCaskill is coming out as AGAINST Illegal Immigration.

It's going to be fun to see how many candidates for the Nov. election
are going to run in favor of illegal immigration and/or the
"comprehensive immigration package" (aka Amnesty).

As long as no lib judge tosses out the new picture voter ID requirements, the Dem advantage of rampant fraud in St. Louis may be blunted. It's a wait and see.

ahem... E. St Louis is in Illinois. But the Dems did extend polling hours in St Louis in 2000.
