I cannot believe Shep Smith is presenting himself as competent to assess the IDF campaign in Lebanon. I remember this dilettante babbling about "just carpet bombing" in Afghanistan right before the Taliban was routed. Why is it that every TV newsman with a mike in his hands thinks he can pontificate on any subject regardless of his knowledge of it? What silly philistines these newsmen are.
Shep should stay away from exposure to the public. He's a brainless departement store mannequin who makes a good appearance on a TV screen but isn't competent to comment on a dogfight, much less Israeli military tactics.
He whines like a girl...oh, wait.

Well, let's see, that makes him a hurricane damage expert, a hurricane evacuation expert, and now a military tactical expert. Quite a resume. Has he cried on camera yet?
I totally agree, I've been watching more msNbc and cnn. Shep, the man responsible for me watching more MSM lol.
His rantings were purely hysterical and his editorializing and analysis on military matters is just pathetic.
Because most of the words coming out of his mouth are being fed to him through the mike in his ears.
I emailed him yesterday.. he referred to the 2 soldiers killed the day before, and the other IDF running back "with their tails between their legs". He is not suited for this kind of reporting and I won't be watching him anymore. He has misplaced moral outrage...he should stick to the facts.

Shep lost me when he interviewed the family of the kidnapped Israeli soldier and COMPLETELY embarrassed himself.
His interview with the Israeli pilot was pathetic too. Paraphrasing, how do you feel about bombing civilians?

Hemmer will be hosting Fox News from 12-2 EST. I am sure he will go to Shep for some reports but at least we see that Hemmer is more impressive to the suits than Shep.
OH..I saw that too! It was like he wasn't going to budge until the pilot said, "We're killing civilians and we like it." It was pathetic. The pilot was being very professional and saying all the right things and Shep could not stand it.
To be more specific, he was talking to a former IDF special ops or something, made the comment to the commando about the IDF "running back with their tails between their legs".
The IDF commando responded calling hezbollah animals, and Shep interrupted him and gave him hell ... his moral outrage "and wasn't he part of the problem for name calling, etc"... he went on a real rant. It was so disgusting. I hardly ever email anyone... but he is way way out of line.... He truly must be a bed wetting, tree hugging liberal and if he can't hide it any better he shouldn't be in the news business at all, but he certainly should stay in the studio instead of getting so close to the action that his moral outrage overshadows his "reporting". The Israeli government should deport him.

Unfortunately Shep occassionally forgets his job is to report the news.Too much testosterone?
