Does it make you a Proud American

I am an extremely proud American! This article is nothing but a pack of propaganda lies and the writer should be ashamed of himself. But people like this have no concience and not enough brains to count to 1. Shameful!

"The Muslims vow to "wipe Israel off the map" and you talk about ethnic cleansing?"

Don't confuse the issue with facts.

They're obviously irrelevant to the author's point.

I have no idea why I'm running into so many people as of late that side against Israel...

Maybe because the only thing they hear about the situation is the anti-Israel biased reporting of the MSM and lying rants like this one. Tell the big lie often enough and it becomes accepted as truth.

What happened to Paul Craig Roberts?

That's my question, too. He used to be an intelligent, articulate conservative. Now he sounds deranged, actually schizophrenic in this article. Very seriously, has something terrible happened to this man? If he has been stricken with schizophrenia, it might explain his apparent loss of contact with reality.

Someone earlier raised the possibility that he might be suffering from a brain tumor.

It would be a damn shame if it were so.

Who are the “enemies of the Jewish state”?

Pat Buchanan and PCR.

That nutbag is neither a Libertarian, a 'paleoconservative' or even a Buchaninite. He is an out and out Jihadist. Nothing more, nothing less.

There is no practical difference between a Buchananite, a palaeoconservative or a jihadist.

They are effectively the same.

I have no idea why I'm running into so many people as of late that side against Israel, and I live in conservative Utah.

The Lord said "Woe onto those who persecute my people Israel".

From Wkipedia

"He considers himself, and is considered by others, to be part of the paleoconservative wing of conservatism, although he claims to have received harsh criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. In recent years, he has become increasingly known as an opponent of free-trade agreements like NAFTA, and the World Trade Organization, and a critic of the administration of George W. Bush. He is opposed to the Iraq War, and writes frequently on the subject.

He is a member of the controversial VDARE.com editorial collective, an internet group that favors immigration reduction and has been deemed racist by critics. His writings frequently appear on Antiwar.com, on Lew Rockwell's web site, and Alexander Cockburn's left-wing site CounterPunch.

During the 2004 Presidential Election in the U.S., Roberts endorsed the Democratic candidate, John Kerry, for president."

[quote] "Anyone who depends on print, TV, or right-wing talk radio media is totally misinformed. The Bush administration has achieved a de facto Ministry of Propaganda." [4]

Utah is largely LDS, and the LDS don't view Israel or the Jewish people in the same light that evangelical Christians do.

Yes. I didn't know anything about schizophrenia until a friend was stricken 15 years ago. It's a cruel, cruel disease, and the worst aspect of it is that the sick person doesn't believe he's sick. He thinks he's being tortured by an outside force, and he absolutely refuses to accept any facts that might make him question his delusions. "A Beautiful Mind" was a wrenchingly accurate portrayal of paranoid schizophrenia, though John Nash was an exception in that he actually came to realize that his hallucinations weren't real.

They are the Palestinians whose land has been stolen by the Jewish state, whose homes and olive groves have been destroyed by the Jewish state, whose children have been shot down in the streets by the Jewish state, whose women have been abused by the Jewish state

Nope. The Jews are living on land brought from the previous land-owners in the 19th Century.

That's a bit of very dark, black humor from the SNL of the 80s. If he truly is sick, I hope he gets well. Until he admits this rhetoric is insane, I will reserve the right to mock him for an (undocumented) tumor in the higher-reasoning sections of his brain.

It is the size of a tangelo.

Anyone wanting to get into the pool, submit your guess (the size of a fruit, sports implement, etc.) right here.

Mock away--you won't hear any criticism from me. Though I sympathize with a person suffering from mental illness, I don't believe it relieves him from responsibility for his behavior. IMO Paul Craig Roberts' writing deserves the contempt it engenders, whether he's insane or just plain evil.
