This is the point I was making on another thread. The Islamic fascist terrorist are not LOVED by ALL people in the Middle East.If Western democracies would show some backbone when dealing with these Islamic thugs we'd probably be surprised at how many Muslim allies we actually had !!!

(From another thread)
Something I've noticed over the years since 9-11 is many people in the Islamic world shout their support of OBL and his ilk, until they strike at home. Then it's a different song being sung.

Time's growing short, people of Iran! Action time is now if you don't want to be taken out with the trash.

For the sake of the people there I hope their rulers don't go completely off their rockers and launch direct strikes against Israel. Israel's response would likely be disproportionate in the extreme. Iranians really need to clue in on the course their rulers have set them on.

Exactly and it is the left wing creeps in this country that aid and abet the problem by continually downing America in front of the world

I agree, but let's be honest,we ( Western democracies)haven't given these people any reason to believe they would be supported if they were to try and stand up to these fascist regimes.I'm no warmonger but if flexing USA military muscle in Iran,Syria and Lebanon would get the job done,I say let's do it !!!

But the recent American deeds in Afghanistan, Iraq and especially Kurdistan should have given the sign that America IS interested in Democracy and Freedom for the Middle East.

Thank you "GW" for following through with your plans.
Now we need to take the fight to the Hezzies in Iran.

"I hope their rulers don't go completely off their rockers and launch direct strikes against Israel."

I think that's what Iran's ruling group fully intends to do. The leader of the Revolutionary Guard said they are intent on revenge against the U.S. and Israel. The question is, do they wait until they get a nuclear bomb to do so.

I agree with you. Since the Iranian ruling group is intent on striking at Israel and the U.S., it's apparently only a matter of time, and probably a fairly short time, before all out war occurs.

The people of Iran have no viable voice in their government's policies and pretentions. Any commentary to the contrary is false and misleading. We are sometimes told of citizen unrest in Iran over that government's actions, but that citizen unrest is small and virtually meaningless. Iran seems more and more like the dictatorships we have seen in Europe in the past. Only today did I read something about the government in Iran taking steps to outlaw certain words that suggest a Western influence, words such as "pizza," for heaven's sake! Make no mistake about it -- the government in Iran is well on its way toward "1984."

They're distracted by the blood and the ambiguities of their emerging pluralism. To the people of the ME, do you think the events in Iraq and Afghanistan smell like freedom or civil war facilitated by a superpower? The people of the ME have always had legitimate reasons to fear great power. Americans are giving their blood and treasure in order to establish credibility among the redeemable, and kill those that cannot be redeemed. Like them, we're easily distracted by blood but we must be vigilant in this fight or eventually we'll lose our pluralism.

Sort of like encouraging children (and doctors) to report on possible drug law violations. Of course, that's done in Iran too.
