Heated denials from news agencies accused of staging images with doctored photographs of dead children in the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, cannot rest on staged images from the war arena never having happened before.

Just check out the names of the photographers AP sent to cover the story: Nasser Nasser was one, and several others who were just as likely to be Hezbos as they were to be actual "photographers."

She's actually giving them too much credit. A "denial" would have to state a belief that the timestamps are correct rather than inconclusive, which is all we've heard.
A quibble: Many are saying the photos are staged, but I don't think anybody is going so far as to say that they are doctored, i.e. Photoshop tricks.

I think it might be a good idea if we were very, very careful to make the following distinctions in talking about these incidents:
1. "doctored" ie fake photos which change a real incident, by means of such things as photoshop, to show something that did not actually happen.
2 staged photos of real scenes arranged by the photographers for an effect other that the reality of what occurred.
3.. Genuine photos of staged events, which is what I think we have here. The photographers may or may not be naive.
No blood. No broken bits. Apparent rigor mortis, too soon. Performers (green helmet man) playing multiple roles.
Staged events are a standard ME trick.
Some photographers are more gullible or more co-operative than others but it doen't help to blame them as much as to uncover and expose the staging of the event itself.
