WEEK 31 - Olney, MD, 7-29-06: Operation Infinite FReep, BMWcyle IRRITATES MOONBATS
Posted on 08/03/2006 6:06:26 PM PDT by trooprally
The FReepers in attendance included regulars Lurker Bill, Cindy_True_Supporter (CTS), [Mrs] Trooprally ([Mrs] T), and myself along with BMWcyle (BMW), Apple Blossom and their daughter, and BufordP.
BELOW: Our corner, L to R: BufordP, [Mr] T, Lurker Daughter, CTS, BMW, Apple Blossom.

BELOW: Lurker Bill and what cars see when traveling east bound on MD Rte. 108

BELOW LEFT: [Mr] T and BufordP in the smokers corner. BELOW RIGHT: Ever vigilante BMW effectively manning the bull horn.

BELOW: Daughter and Apple Blossom

Dueling photographers: BELOW LEFT: [Mrs] T, pic being taken by CTS. BELOW RIGHT: CTS, pic by [Mrs] T. She's practicing for this coming Saturday.

After our fun, we once again retired to the Olney Tavern for a delicious dinner. I won't post the embarrassingly close up pics of us. And then out to see the antique cars.
BELOW LEFT: A 1999 Panoz. It is hand made and there were only 55 made that year. BELOW RIGHT: Gold F-10, For Sale for $12,000.

More Cars:

The moonbats only had seven for their side, less than our side, AGAIN. And did BMW get them upset this week. All BMW had to do is quote scriptures to them and point out how hypocritical they are. Of course the Country Music also help.
BELOW: Moonbat pointing at us while bit$$ing about BMW. She was even yelling at us before [Mrs] T started to take pics. Now that would have been some good barf-alert pics.

BELOW: Huddle to calm her down. A little shade really does wonders for the melting moonbats.

BELOW: Moonbat looks upset even after huddle. Moonbat on right of banner is complaining to Chief Huddler.

And the moonbats once again had trouble with their banner.
BELOW LEFT:How do we do this again? BELOW RIGHT: Still struggling!! BELOW BOTTOM: Discouraged, the banner is left on the ground.

BELOW LEFT: Second struggle with banner. BELOW RIGHT: Banner falling apart. BELOW BOTTOM: How does this piece stay attached?

BELOW LEFT: IT'S UP!! BELOW RIGHT: Is it going to stay up? BELOW BOTTOM: Nope - It's down - Stupid moonbats!!!!

BELOW: New moonbat sign.
BELOW: Sign as [Mrs] T saw it.

Olney had their annual National Night Out (NNO) event this past Tuesday evening. This is a police-community/ crime awareness event. Olney has about 3000 people pass thru its event in 3 1/2 hours. But this year, due to the heat we only had about half that amount. This is a family event and parents don't want to be bothered with others coming up to them.
Since this was an election year, a lot of politicians and wanna-be-pols were in attendance. As co-chair of the event (the reason this AAR is so late), I was designated to be Chief Bouncer, a job I relished. Imagine a conservative Republican, in the middle of Blue country, telling the Democrat pols to stay behind their tables and stop bothering the public. I loved it. (Now a days, "conservative Republican" is not an oxymoron).
But guess who else was there. Barking Waveman and Peek-A-Boo. They had their black "Impeach Bush" t-shirts on and had a petition to Impeach Bush.
I couldn't kick them out, but I made sure they didn't go up to people and talk to them.
REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney, MD
Same time, 3 PM to 4:30 PM
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; US: Maryland
KEYWORDS: aar; codepink; freep; grumpies; infinite; mobilizingmothers; moonbats; operationinfinite; peaceactionmc; peaceniks; quakers
BufordP and Jimmy Valentines Brother are filling in for us this Saturday and several other FReepers have tentatively said they would also be there. But they could use some help so if your free, please join them.
RE: Olney FReep -
If you live in northern VA and want a short cut to Olney, here it is. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the American Legion Bridge.
A special Thanks to BufordP for enhancing the original plain type directions.
During the first few days of Israel's WOT, do you remember hearing about Americans being evacuated from the American Embassy in Beirut? Here is a shot of our nephew, Captain, USMC, in front of his chopper on the roof of the Embassy. NEAT! He's was is training (start of second tour) in the desert of Jordan when he flew to Beirut, then Cyprus. His fleet mean while was coming up the Suez Canal. (We edited out any personal ID numbers on the chopper).

Thanks for the heads up.
vigilante = vigilant
BMW is tough on Code Pink but he's not a vigilante. Of course the key board FReepers think he is.

LOL! Do you suppose as BMW was quoting Scripture that a pro-Troops Guardian Angel was wrestling the Moonbat sign to the ground? ;^)
Not quite as conclusive as the Passover Angel, but certainly a bit of rain on their sick parade....

Great report, great pictures, and great work by these good FReepers! I really liked the pics of the moonbats' banner falling down. It's always fun to see how much happier the FReepers look than the moonbats, who are always glaring and scowling and, probably, b*tching. Heh.

And it seems to be getting easier to get them upset.
With a few more FReepers on a continual bases (hint - hint), I have a few ideas to really upset them.

Thanks from all of us.
The moonbats never have looked happy. Not sure why. It could have been because of the first two weeks we were out there. They started out on our corner. When we got there, we mixed in with their crowd and eventually kicked them off it.

Didn't hear exactly all he was saying because I was behind the bull horn and off to the side. But mostly he was talking about the accident in the middle of the intersection several week ago. While the rescue squad was removing the injured person, they still held up their signs. Also, only on of their group went over to see if they could help.
'Faker Quaker' and 'hypocritical' were used.
Three of us went out to see if we could help and did minor traffic directions. We also put our signs down until the car was finally towed.
I was going to link to the AAR, but the pics disappeared.
Hey BMW, please fill us in when you can find a computer.

Redbob,
bmw is vigilate. You couldn't ask to a better FReeper to take the point or be your wingman. He's great at both. Ready for trouble, but not a troublemaker.
The fact that his verbal barbs hit the peaceniks so hard, remind one of the USAF saying: "When you taking flak, it means that you're on target."
He can cover my back any day, even if the more difficult FReeps.
regards, Bill

Every time I look at the holes in their stupid banner, I think of road signs that have been shot at by people who have to test their weapons. I guess "pacifists" don't have that imagery in their brains.
Q: Since they are there because of their so-called interest in the welfare of the troops, why do they use a banner that looks shot up!
A: Stupidity and lack of imagination

Hey, Olney Quaker demonstrators:Romans 13 (New International Version)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
Submission to the Authorities
1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.
4 For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing.
7 Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
