Iran's 'supreme leader' — Khamenei — tells country to brace for war

In the first such order, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has directed its more than 300,000 troops to prepare for a confrontation with Israel and the United States. IRGC has directed and participated in the Hizbullah war against Israel. "Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guards and Basij should prepare themselves to get even with Zionists and Americans," IRGC commander Maj. Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi said. "The supreme leader [Ali Khamenei] will announce the time for this."

The good news is that we don't need another "Hearts and Minds" war. "Shock and Awe" will do.

Right on!  PREEMPT!  PREEMPT!

Don't wait for another Pearl Harbor.  (Of course, if 9/11 didn't do it for the appeasers, I don't know that anything will.)  Thank God we have a President who understands the war and has the determination to protect us.

Mo never set foot in Jerusalem.

From the recent Newsmax article....

Now Lewis, professor emeritus of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton, writes about that scenario. He notes in the Wall Street Journal that this year, August 22 corresponds, in the Islamic calendar, to the night when Muhammad flew first to "the farthest mosque” – usually identified with Jerusalem – and then to heaven and back.

I think the whole religion is BS, personally. I am not saying if he did, or didn't go to Jerusalem....but somebody's incorrect.

One Ohio-class in the Indian Ocean would make this a very short war.

*Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei: "The U.S., the Zionists and Malicious European Superpowers Seek to Root Out Islam from the Region"

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said, at a traditional Shiite celebration marking the birth of 'Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, that "today, it is the duty of entire Islamic society to defend Hizbullah... The Muslim peoples are currently in the grip of two terrible realities: [One is] the ongoing catastrophe in Lebanon and Palestine and the massacre of innocent children and [civilians] at the hands of the Zionist regime, [and the other] is the division [that exists] among the Muslim countries, which is especially [due to the behavior of] some Arab countries that watch [the events] and keep silent. Such behavior is entirely wrong and harmful...

>>>What if they kamikaze raid SE Iraq to try and overrun our bases, using WMD on the troops wherever concentrated. I believe we fared badly in simulations when they used silworms against our ships in the gulf.

I'm confident that our military has enough surveillence on Iran that such a massive troop movement couldn't take place without our knowledge. We would have some unbelivably nasty surprises waiting for them. Fighting masses of poorly-armed and poorly-trained troops in open desert is a hundred times easier than fighting guerillas in an urban setting. If the Iranians used WMD, we would respond in kind and end this thing quickly.

Yawn...(again)

I have full confidence that we can and will make short work of whatever it is they (Iran) thinks they are going to do...

If all they have are a bunch of ugly women in black burka garb carrying wooden replica's of AK-47's, and a bunch of prancing yellow scarved sissy-boys in the streets...

I see this going very well for us...

I have a friend who has always believed that the way to end Islamofascism is to nuke Mecca & Medina....put their god in focus, so to speak.

I disagreed with him on "The God of Jonah and Ninevah" grounds, but sometimes you've got to wonder if he isn't right.

7. They have to act sooner rather than later because the longer they wait, the harder it will be for them.

nuke Mecca & Medina

This is already part of the islamist apocalypse, Mecca anyway. It would play right into their hands.

Do you all remember what Zarqawi's plan was when he was killed? Wasn't there somthing then about Iran drawing the USA into a war to try to bring us down by over extending us?

It makes you wonder about those dead revolutionary guards over there.

I think the Europeans better snap out of their anti american, anti Isreali malaise soon, 'cause guess who's next on the list.

Let them believe we're overextended. Gulf I and II were a fraction of what we can bring to the table. Experts said we'd have tens of thousands dead back in 1991. In 2003, the urban fighting would be savage and costly. Now, the talking heads say we're overextended. They haven't been right, yet.
