Battle Cry of the 101st AB.
I wish US would push West, IDF push East and we meet somewhere in Syria...where A US marine from GA shout's out "well looky here Billy, we found us them thar weopons of mass destruction right where my LT said they'd be. Go figr"
According to Drudge and Fox news the attack has begun, there is another thread on just that subject. Sorry, don't have the link!
May God Protect and Speed the IDF/IAF in their efforts to help us all.
If he were brilliant the job would have already been completed. He had all the time he needed and he wasted it. This has already been the longest war in Israel's history. But, like Dems here in the States, he didn't have the stomach for doing what needed to be done. Perhaps the pressure today (all the calls for his head) bucked him up
Here, read this from IsraelInsider
It should not come as a surprise to anyone that we lost. As I said when this all began, we are led by losers.
We will never win, we will never succeed, if led by such "leaders." Their leadership will only lead to greater losses. Better to find out sooner than later, before the losses multiply.
Those who led us to defeat in battle must now face the tough questions, and bitter consequences....
They must be shamed and humiliated so they will never dare presume to lead again. So they do not have the "momentum" to revise and spin this fiasco into and additional withdrawals. So they will go back home to their lives as highly paid shysters and megaphone-carrying union leaders and never dare show their declare-victory-and-run-home faces in public again....
Israel lost this battle because of them. Israel lost much prestige, and much deterrent power becomes of them. Israel became perceived as a paper tiger. Israel lost a golden opportunity to take care of its enemies, to strengthen and support its allies. Israel failed its friends, its soldiers, its citizens. Because of them....
Hezbollah was given more than 10 years to build up its forces and infrastructure in Leb. By PC are you suggesting the Israelis should be using nukes? They are pounding pretty good from what I am seeing. So what if they are playing the diplomacy game. Actions speak louder than words.
If the Six Day war had a theme song it would be the sound track of "Apocolypse Now".
If this present war had a theme song it would be the music to, "Hello Mother, Hello Father".
ElMort, get out of the way and let your troops do their job!
Enough said...
I understand your post and agree with it. However, I'm not sure what your point is.

"No No! There are no Israelis here...we have defeated them all..."--BB
No they're not. That's the problem.
Olmert vetoed the aggressive approach initially advocated by the Israeli military, and instead opted for a widely-unsuccessful campaing of airstrikes alone. Not only did the airstrikes fail in their military objective, but the images hurt the Israelis politically as well.
When he finally did order a ground attack, it was very limited in scope and involved far too few troops. What was needed was a rapid attack with overwhelming force, and that's what Olmert has not done. Honestly, this is a seriously timid campaign to this point.
IDF says 'green light' issued for wider Lebanon operation
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Friday that the government has given the green light for army to widen its operations in southern Lebanon and to capture the territory south of the Litani River, officers confirm.

The quote I made is a very old one -- my grandmother, a woman of deep religious origin, from the deep south. It was a very common saying and it does indeed hold alot of meaning -- which you apparently cannot grasp.

ROFLMAO! That's a good one!
The prayers for the Hezzies won't ascend much higher than the lips of those who pray for them. The scriptures tell us about the nature and character of God and indicate that the prayer that is offered by an unrepentant, faithless heart does not move Him to act (though He may choose to do so).
"The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." --James 5:16
