ABOARD THAI AIRWAYS TO LOS ANGELES - John Mark Karr, the suspect in the death of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey, sipped champagne and ate fried king prawns in business class Sunday after being put aboard a flight to Los Angeles to face charges in the United States.
As Karr wined and dined in style and chatted with the three U.S. officials escorting him, another bombshell emerged: Reports that Karr sought treatment at a Thai sex-change clinic.
His Thai Airways International flight took off about 8 p.m. (9 a.m. EDT) for the 15-hour flight to Los Angeles. Karr's journey will eventually end in Boulder, Colo., where he is expected to face charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and child sexual assault in connection with the young beauty queen's 1996 killing.
Karr was not handcuffed while being whisked through Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok. At the departure gate, he talked amiably with fellow passengers.
The 41-year-old teacher sat in a business class window seat next to Mark Spray, an investigator with the Boulder County District Attorney's office. A U.S. Embassy official and an agent with " Homeland Security" on his T-shirt were also part of the escort party.
Before takeoff, Karr took a glass of champagne from a flight attendant and clinked glasses with Spray, who sipped orange juice.

On US Taxpayers' dime, no doubt. Put the SOAMFB into cargo with the suitcases and boxes, with no food and water. If he doesn't survive the flight, no loss to society's innocents; in fact, a gain of *zero recividism*, IMO.

He's probably guilty of a lot of other things though, so a stint in the slam, ending with another inmate "taking out the trash" should be just what the doctor ordered.

Yet further evidence of what a charade the entire fiasco is revolving around this "suspect".
I went back to the Unabomber case. They put a bullet proof vest on him when they were moving him through crowds. I'm sure that Karr would have asked for it UNDER his shirt. (Vanity) It may also explain why his shirt was buttoned right to the top.
Maybe he didn't like that, heard people talking about it and that's why he's wearing a shirt and tie...like a teacher?? Our male teachers don't wear ties.
Years ago I was involved in an investigation of a particularly brutal multiple homicide. We had a "drifter" who we thought might be our man, but didn't have enough to charge him. We put him up in a hotel, bought his food and drink (including booze) for a few days, before we figured out he wasn't the person we were looking for. Tommy Lynn Sells later confessed to the murders.

Dinner on board, served on a starched white tablecloth with silverware, was one many passengers would envy.
Karr started with a pate, then had a green salad with walnut dressing. The main course was fried king prawn with steamed rice and broccoli.
Karr drank a beer, crushing the can with his hands when it was empty, then moved on to a glass of French chardonnay with his main course.

I'd think a blowtorch, pliers, chainsaw and jar of acid would do that, more quickly and cheaply, L. But I understand the ethical/legal ramifications... hey, fly him to Saudi Arabia for a 24hr 'session', and then back, quickly. Scars? Missing digits? Heh...

Thats him. Still on death row last time I checked. The case I was involved in was the 1987 Ina, Illinois, murders. He bludgeoned a family to death. The wife was 7 months pregnant at the time. Her child was born during her murder and he blugeoned it too. He is an animal.
