Note that the writer is a Democrat.

"Paul Kujawsky is a member of the California Democratic Party Central Committee."

The excerpt is the front part of the article, then he proceeds to explain that the Dems need to adopt a platform:

"While not the only issue facing America, this war is the single most important issue of our generation.

We must unequivocally win this war, however long it takes. "

This is EXACTLY the Republican platform. The Dems must do at least a "me too", but they are doing exactly the opposite, doing everything they can to hinder us in our pursuit of the War on Terror.

Even some of hte Dems are starting to see this and that the American people will vote to LIVE, which means vote for Republicans, because the Dem policies will kill us all.

Was the article written before W negotiated a cease fire between Israel and Hezbullah with France?

I believe that more and more Democrats will be expressing these same sentiments.

With the Dem moonbats kicking Joe Lieberman out of the party, they also kicked the rest of the moderate Dems out with him.

This is a great article. Thanks for posting it. It outlines one of the things that baffles me the most about Democrats - their revisionist history. It is necessary to accommodate the "Bush Derangement Syndrome".

French and living up to their word rarely collide in the same sentance.

It's holding up -- France hasn't fired on either.

The Bush haters would rather see us living as Dhimmis than admit that he is right about ANYTHING concerning the War on Terror.

Worth repeating many, many times, D.

"The Bush haters would rather see us living as Dhimmis than admit that he is right about ANYTHING concerning the War on Terror islam."

There; now it's correct.

It's all about political power and their lack of it. There's nothing more amusing than watching Dem operatives recite their talking points with that look that says even they don't believe what they're saying.

The mainstream Democrat establishment is insincere. They will whip up BDS in order to advance their aims for power. Once in power they will co-opt the war and tranform themselves to moderate hawks to lock in their positions.

Make no mistake, Dems will claim the mantle of nabbing bin Laden once in power and will wave the war flag high.

This is the big variable the MSM is leaving out in its prognosticating about the November elections. And Dems. rejoicing over a liberal judge halting NSA wiretaps, the very week it was discovered they helped to unravel the London airline plots, will only reinforce in voters' minds that the Democratic party is more anti-Bush than they are anti-terrorist. They'll gain little ground in November as a result.

Another concept the Democrats need to wrap their minds around is the fact that United States citizens are not going to vote for politicians who bet against the home team.

We are not at war with Islam, only the radical murdering terrorists, who use Islam as an excuse. Just the way the Nazis and communists used their ideology as an excuse to murder and subjugate people, the terrorists are trying to justify their subhuman actions with Islam.

Indonesia has a large Muslim population and most of them are very peaceful.

A free press, an independent judiciary and a bureaucracy purged of corruption are among the preconditions of a successful transition to genuine democracy.

I'd like all that right here, too.

Islam does justify the subhuman actions of the terrorists.

The author is completely correct and has next to no chance of seeing what he wants to have happen occur. Which is a shame.

You might want to rethink this analogy. Are we to assume that Nazism and communism would be perfectly acceptable to you, absent murder and subjugation?
