Muslim doctor wants apology from U.S. airline [booted for praying]

A Winnipeg doctor is demanding an official apology and compensation from United Airlines after being kicked off a flight in the U.S. this week, an incident he has characterized as "institutionalized discrimination." Dr. Ahmed Farooq, a Muslim, was escorted off an airplane in Denver on Tuesday. According to Farooq, reciting his evening prayers was interpreted by one passenger as an activity that was suspicious.

"The whole situation is just really frustrating," Farooq said. "It makes you uneasy, because you realize you have to essentially watch every single thing you say and do, and it's worse for people who are of colour, who are identifiable as a minority."

Farooq said the allegation came from a passenger who appeared drunk and had previously threatened him during the trip.

"Mc Veigh and Mohammed Atta. Wanna compare? "

It appears that LF is arguing as a leftist would. Distorting what little supporting information he has, and ignoring points he can't refute.

Nice job all. LF won't be convinced, but anyone who is objective has to see that muslims created their own problems.

Thousands and thousands condemn terrorism?
We choose to ignore it??
Seems like those pesky devout Muslim terrorists are ignoring it too!! Why shouldn't we?
Thousands and thousands of imams--Not very effectual are they? Why is that?
Thanks for the laugh of the week!

Devout Muslim, meet Devout Christian. Muslim gets kicked off plane. Christian gets persecuted by anti-Christ groups in his own country and has to fight for his rights on a daily basis.

Which is worse?

Sure there is. Oh CAIR denounces terrorism on it's web site. They also call Israel's defense of it's own people and land, terrorism. I'm not convinced.

So where are these thousands and thousands of muslims that have condemned ISLAMIC terrorism (not some nebulous term that can be twisted to mean something else)? The last muslim rally I saw boasted scores of PLO looking goobers sporting a bunch of hate-filled anti-evil-joo signs. These guys looked to me to be supporting terrorism and terrorists (most specifically the hezbolamers).

Just because you say it is so, does not make it so - particularly if you are a member of the death-cult.

Security told him after he was pulled off the plane that he should NOT have been pulled off, that the airline overreacted. Then he had to buy another plane ticket to get home.

No imagination here, just the facts as presented in the article.

Take some remedial reading classes, pal.
"Had to" has two possible meanings, and the writer, and you, evidently, have a investment at suggesting the wrong one.

Every other muslim pulled off a flight for whatever reason have been put on a later flight at no additional cost to themselves.

If this maggot "had to" pay for another ticket, it was simply because he did not feel like taking the time to allow the airline to make the normal arrangements. Muslims are known for their arrogance only second to their murderous inclinations.

What is he doing out of his 3rd world crap-hole anyway? Who invited him?

Thanks for the laugh...that qualifies for Post of the Afternoon!

I believe the Koran is very lenient on this requirement for people who are traveling.

I know it is very lenient toward travelers during Ramadan, allowing those on journeys to eat and drink during the day.

There is no absolute requirement that you HAVE to do your prayers at set times if it is not convienient.

And anyway, the perception of the other people on the plane that something was wrong is still based on the knowledge that the terrorists did their jihad prayers before taking over the planes on 9/11.

But if I'm ever on a plane and somebody does what you suggested, I'll be sure to give ya a "FReeper wave" and a big grin as Security escorts you off the plane. ;)

Your loyalties are unclear.
Would that be before or after the maggot blocking the aisle is escorted off?

My McVeigh example was in reply to Slayer's lame "I'm not a muslim. Therefore I'm not a terrorist" remark.

In Englis, that statement makes sense, beyond the second grade, only if you were actually addressing Timothy McVey... Which you were not.

Thousands and thousands of Muslim leaders and Imams have condemned terrorism time and again, you just choose to ignore it.

No Achmed, your closest buddies, the Main Stream Media, may be choosing to ignore it.
Bottom line, the silence is deafening.

So where are these thousands and thousands of muslims that have condemned ISLAMIC terrorism

Again, you CHOOSE to ignore it. Thousands of muslim leaders are offended by the perversion of Islam to promote violence.

But consider this, you and Islamofacists have something in common: you are both passionately ignorant of Islam and seem to intentionally misinterpret the Koran to support your agenda. They do it to justify violence, you do it to justify prejudice.

Why are these thousands of Muslims leaders being ignored by other Muslims?? Why aren't they raising the 'good' Muslim masses against them?
Why are we supposed to give some third=rate mullah who says,
'maybe we shouldn't kill all the Jews, just the ones who won't submit', points for condemning terrorism when THEY ARE INEFFECTUAL??
The terrorists aren't following some pencilled-in version of Islam- they're getting their orders right from the unchanged, word-of-Allah, revered Koran.
Islam IS the problem.

"BTW, if someone were doing a Gregorian Chant I'm sure they'd have been asked to silence or leave."

Yes, but probably because your average Joe Moron doesnt know the difference between a christian liturgy and a muzzie prayer.

So sorry for your inconvenience. I’m sure it was much worse than the inconvenience experienced by all those poor people incinerated at their desk on 9/11.

but anyone who is objective has to see that muslims created their own problems.

Anyone who is objective has to see that Islamic extremists/terrorists created these problems. This thread and comments being made are disturbing, sickening, and an insult to FR and most of it's good FReepers.
