America's Muslims Aren't as Assimilated as You Think

If only the Muslims in Europe -- with their hearts focused on the Islamic world and their carry-on liquids poised for destruction in the West -- could behave like the well-educated, secular and Americanizing Muslims in the United States, no one would have to worry.

So runs the comforting media narrative that has developed around the approximately 6 million Muslims in the United States, who are often portrayed as well-assimilated and willing to leave their religion and culture behind in pursuit of American values and lifestyle. But over the past two years, I have traveled the country, visiting mosques, interviewing Muslim leaders and speaking to Muslim youths in universities and Islamic centers from New York to Michigan to California -- and I have encountered a different truth. I found few signs of London-style radicalism among Muslims in the United States. At the same time, the real story of American Muslims is one of accelerating alienation from the mainstream of U.S. life, with Muslims in this country choosing their Islamic identity over their American one.

Why would they have to assimilate when morons in our country do everything they can to cater to them. Change noice ordinances so they can blast their prayers over loud speakers. Change dress codes so as not to offend the muslims.

Any one else see this blatant effort to refuse to actually become an american as a problem. Reminds me a lot of the Mexicans that were talking about a revolution during the protests. I dont know why we dont wake up to see that our country is being abused and taked over by a number of different subgroups.. Homosexuals, Muslims, Illegal immigrants, terrorists, and the apologists for all of them. Its sick. They dont want to be americans they want to take it over. Ask them if they wish we were under Islamic rule... Yes they do.

The only problem this is that the illegals here want us under their rule too. They want to keep speaking Spanish and think of the southwest US as part of Mexico.

Even the Mormans want a little fiefdom in Utah. It never ends. The difference between the US and Europe is that our country's history is to tolerate this nonsense for only so long before the federal government comes in with troops. Heck, even the L.A.P.D. here in California opened up with rubber bullets on a La Raza riot last year. The Muslims are the minority and not yet the problem that the flood of illegals from Mexico have become. In one estimate, we have absorbed up to 10% of their population already.

I can't really worry about losing our country to Muslims. Not yet anyway. Not with 10's of millions of Mexicans coming into our country over the last decade.

This is a very dangerous situation for our country. If these muslims won't assimilate, there could be violence from home grown muslim terrorists. I think some government officials in Australia had said that muslims should go home if they can't assimilate to Australia's culture. I think we should welcome legal immigrants who want to assimilate to America's culture. They have no right to impose Sharia on America and they should be stopped.

You know, it's interesting. We Freep and rail against these things and say things like "when these guys actually do something bad like domestic terror... They are doing it now, we aren't doing anything about it, most people probably will meekly get into the cattle cars with some faint hope that somehow things will work out. I predict that, like the people on the airplane who fought the hijackers on 9/11, some of us will take the battle to the @ssholes and we'll have us a civil war. As of now, we could win, I think, but watching Hizballa in Lebanon, it might not be too long until they will be able to match us.

That hasn't happened to us yet. I am sure that the Muslims can cause a great deal of havoc. Fortunately, their numbers in this country are still relatively small. We also are limiting their immigration to a certain degree. Unfortunately, we are witnessing the the destruction of the entire hospital system, school system, prison system and welfare system to illegals here in Southern California right now. Our country is being overrun by this madness and our politicians are encouraging it.

As a matter of fact, there are reports of the Islamo-nazis coming in through our southern border with them. I also think that the fact that their are acive Islamo-nazi public protests in certain parts of California have a great deal to do with a societal break down encouraged by massive illegal immigration.

The ones that are here are either active Islamic fascists or enablers of active Islamic fascism.

The only other kind are the lapsed Muslims. They are our best allies.

Once the MSM, ACLU and Loony-left have forced most Americans to "realize" this difference, we are done-for. If the US, Canada, UK, etc... doesn't start actively encouraging, to the point of forcing, Islamic followers to leave the country, with in a few years the die will be cast.

It's absurd to think that a Muslim can integrate himself into a Christian value-based society. They have completely different value system and their supremacist views forbid them to accept other cultures as equal.
