"House trolls"....I like it. :-)

I tend to have a slash-and-burn attitude toward them. I know I should be more civil dealing with these people, but as you suggest, they have an agenda, and that agenda runs in opposition to everything I consider to be conservative values. It's difficult being civil to people one doesn't respect.

Not to mention their snide comments toward the ID-ers on this site. Excuse me, it's called "the THEORY of evolution," not "the FACT of evolution!" Their smug attitudes just annoy the heck out of me!

The worst "mindless religiousity" we have in the country today, is that of the secular statists. The things they believe on pure faith are unreal, and they are about as far from "hard reasoning" as one can get.

I agree with you. However, not all secularists are statists. Some (e.g. me) are strict constructionists of the US Constitution, which we see as a profoundly secular statement of political principles.

Ditto that. Once one realizes that the evos aren't on here for honest discussion, but to push an agenda, it's easier to know how to deal with them.

Thank you for making the distinction.

I don't have a problem with that at all. Though it might have been less secular than you think, given that two States had official State religions at the time of the adoption of the Constitution.
