We know there is some truth to some of it though because the public has witnessed it.

I don't doubt for a second that most if not all of it is true. My guess is that a lot of it comes from White House staffers and not Secret Service agents.

My understanding (and this is from memory) is that what he is doing with his fingers is a symbol of some sort indicating "danger" or he is being "coerced" or something along those lines.

it still concerns me to hear of Secret Service agents gossiping this way.

I don't see where an agent talking to a friend about what kind of person a President, Vice Pres., their spouse is has anything to do with security. I've provide security (not on the scale of the Secret Service though, that I really didn't like but still did my job to the max. It's the same with the SS agents they do their job regardless. So get off of it will you!

So you don't think it's necessary for the protectees to be secure that their actions and conversations will be held in confidence by those protecting them?

First you appeared to be stating that you thought it was a security risk to them. Now you want to talk about their conversations and actions should remain secure.

I really don't think Pres. Bush or Laura will mind what the SS Agents have to say about them. If the Clintons want to act like spoiled, uppity little children and treat the agents like dirt then as far as I am concerned the deserve what they get.

Nope, I don't have a problem with it at all.

It was crystal clear that the Clinton's neither liked nor respected each other, and this was true long before the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Theirs was genuinely a "marriage of convenience."

Anyone who read "The Truth About Hillary" knows this was the case from nearly the beginning.

During the rehab of the U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Havana in the mid-1990s, there was a revolving team of State Department Seabees on 90- and 179-day TDY trips. One good friend of mine had been at the Pentagon and was often tapped for duty at Camp David. He said that during 41's term as president there was a real scramble among troops in the DC area to pull some weekend duty at Camp David then. He said that when X42's crowd pulled in, the permanent staff at Camp David had to assign people there; there were no more volunteers.

I couldn't disagree with you more. There are plenty of articles, and biographies about current and former presidents extant.

Are you arguing that there should be an absolute moratorium against writing anything about a president during his life?

On the other hand; Al Quaeda could be salting Clinton's intern pool...
