Do you want to put your money where your mouth is? I can see the Republicans holding the House and Senate but I absolutely think you're bananas to expect net gains. I've got a friendly $10 saying they dont which I will gladly send to you or contribute to FR if we see a Republican net gain in seats in either the House or Senate.

The Liberals want rebuttals, and the GOP will not answer conspiracy theories because it might give crediblity to them and keep a story alive. Sometimes it is better to ignore.

Put you faith in Karl Rove people, he and Right wing bloggers will save the day.

Oh yes I had forgotten about that other silver lining. ;) That with pelosi and reid in charge the Dems will veer even further to the left and make GWB look like a sane moderate. This will help the GOP presidential candidate. As long as that is someone we like!

But of course you are right about the damage they will do in the mean time. Not only in terms of legislation but also the signals we are sending to the terrorists and the rest of the world that we are a divided nation. With the DNC controlled news media "reporting" on events this also strengthens the Dems' hand.

One more bit of bad news too: The usually optimistic ElectionProjection.com now says Dems will take the Senate too. They gain 6 seats, and with "independents" Lieberman and Sanders the left gets a 51 seat majority. Pretty sad. Of course this is all based on current polls, which could change. But it is discouraging.

Dave, 30 days in a 1000 years in politics. Marone I believe is saying the results on election day not 10/9.

This North Korea incident is very serious Dave. The Nuke registers a underground Earthquake of 4.5.

Japan fears Nuclear fallout radiation, and China is embarrassed, they have the 2008 Olympics you know.

National Security will now dominate even the liberal news cycle, even the BBC.

The GOP needs to stick that picture on pelosi like a tarbaby. I've got a picture of chucky schumer marching in a gay parade on NY. Those types of pictures must be all over the place, and don't forget about gary studds, adholescent rump ranger.

Suzy the GOP base and independent voters realize the Left Loonies are idiots. These liberal groups preach to the liberal choir and are irrelevant.

As you see in todays news , the vote will about Security not Liberal smears.

Willie, being in Gay parades does not hurt liberals, but hanging with the leader of NAMBAL(Pedophile Advocacy) does.

There are also photos out there of Hillary at Yale Black Panther gatherings.

Pelosi is not ready for primetime, she will wilt under the pressure of Karl Rove, you watch.

Election Projection does not do Toss UPS like other sites, so even if a candidate is .01 ahead Scott puts them as a pick up.

6 of those seats are tossups and Harold Ford will not win, he lied about passing the bar exam. Wiil Tennessee make a guy who cant pass the bar a Senator?

TNC, Elect Proj also had until last Week Arnold losing in California.

" If the rats don't get the House or the Senate, watch for the democratic party to splinter and degrade."

It already has. Where have you been? We have the Extreme left, the Deaniacs, the Pelosi's,etc., and then there are the Liberals, the Clinonites, who try project a more moderate, Liberal view. Notice how "the beast" and her masturbating, intern chasing husband has avoided comment on this Foley scandal, and distance themselves from the rabid anti war- anti American rhetoric coming out of the extreme left side of the party.

The degrading of the party over the last two POTUS election cycles has been obvious, The splintering is all but complete. Perhaps with dismal results this mid term election and total losses in the next POTUS race, We will see a complete separation of the party into 2 distinct parties, the extreme left, like the NDP party in Canada is, and a Liberal party, similar to the Liberal party in Canada, which is normally closer to the center.

I asked Scott Elliot one time why he did not do Tossups? He did not reply.

Election Projection also factors in all polls, not just credible ones. He emphazizes Zogby which is a joke.

To call a Senate race a pickup because a guy is .011 ahead is ignorant.

The GOP gaining seats is just plain wishful thinking, steeped in denial. There is nothing to back up that fanciful conjecture, sorry.

The reported tremor indicates that North Korea was not able to get the kind of yield on thier bomb as they had hoped. It's a lot smaller than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima which had 20 kiloton yield. North Korean nuclear technology has proven as inadequate as their missle technoloy.

There is no nuclear fall out from these underground tests so I doubt that is a major concern in Japan. We used to run them outside Las Vegas and that didnt seem to keep people away. We even tested nukes above ground for many years.

What does bother Japan is having a mad man with a nuclear weapon living in the neigbhorhood. This will probably encourage them to develop their own bomb. Also I doubt China is that upset. National Security needs to dominate the news cycle but I dont see this causing it to occur. Note what was reported on Today Show this morning. Very little on Korea and then back to Foley all the time.

The Nuke set off in N Korea, should also wake up some people.
News reports say that it was 2 times more powerful than anything they expected N Korea to have been able to produce.

The RATs are the last choice for any sane person in a world that is becoming more dangerous every day, much of it due to bad Democrat governments handling of foreign affairs in the past. The left coast is possibly in missle range of N Korea. Would you vote for a government who plans to scap missle defence systems and chop millitary budgets? Cut and run from the WOT? That would be suicide.

Not what I heard.
The blast was estimated at 150 Kt, not less than 20 kt.
At least that's what I heard on the radio this morning on the way to work. I don't know where they get their news from, prob. AP newswire.

Dave, the TODAY show???? A morning Tabloid cesspool?

I watched the BBC this morning and it was their only story.

Dave the only one that matters is FOX news right now. We need the base to be aware, not the liberal choirs on ABC, NBC, and CBS
