Kerry's fate could hinge on a big Democratic win
Boston Globe ^ | November 7, 2006 | Peter S. Canellos,

Posted on 11/07/2006 8:24:02 AM PST by george76

As national Democrats hang bunting and prepare for what they hope will be a joyous victory celebration in Washington tonight, John F. Kerry will be back in Massachusetts, quietly standing behind his state's gubernatorial nominee.

Kerry's treks around the country were supposed to help erase bad memories of 2004 -- convincing Democrats that Kerry was a dogged worker and belonged among the party's top contenders for 2008.

Instead, the campaign ended with the senator on the sidelines, grounded like a high-schooler caught misbehaving in class during the week before the prom.

His "botched joke" ...gave the Republicans ammunition at a time when they were running out of it.

He then either misjudged the situation or let his anger get the better of him: By choosing to lash out at the Republican scandal machine rather than quietly apologize, he guaranteed that the story would stay in the news.

Now, Kerry has to hope that the Democrats get a big enough victory to wash away any recriminations.

But if the election returns fail to meet the party's skyhigh expectations, Kerry would be among the biggest goats...

His decision to lead the libuster against Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. earlier this year had won him liberal support.

the longstanding perception that Kerry has done a poor job of building a staff.

Some big-name Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and Edward M. Kennedy, are known for their ability to attract the party's top writers and thinkers; Kerry is not.

And the fact that Kerry veered from the text in a way that made a bad speech worse is no surprise, either; in 2004, reporters with advance copies of Kerry's speeches would chuckle over how he added unnecessary words and stepped on his applause lines.

I don't Mama T is going to keep her giggalo husband for much longer. Kerry is the classic rich kid with no money.

The Democrats have their Designated Fall Guy 2006. He's the same guy as the Designated Fall Guy 2004, interestingly enough.

When the Donks have their heads handed to them today, they can blame the whole thing on John F. Kerry, instead of getting all mushy and introspective about why the voters seem to hate their guts. This will keep them from reforming themselves for yet another election cycle, much to the benefit of the nation.

He'd be lost without her $$$.A Boston talk show host,Howie Carr, swears that there was a time in Kerry's (adult) life during which he lived in his car.To this day I'm not sure if Howie was joking or not.

Kerry should shelve any ambitions for 2008. His career is effectively over.

Kerry, Dead Meat

The Boston Globe's Historical rewrite on what could be the most asinine speech a left wing dummy has ever made, and that;s saying something.

"And the fact that Kerry veered from the text in a way that made a bad speech worse is no surprise......"

No veering , just repeating what he's said and thought for the last 40 years.

"Instead, the campaign ended with the senator on the sidelines, grounded like a high-schooler caught misbehaving in class during the week before the prom."

Just a petty little mistake .

"He then either misjudged the situation or let his anger get the better of him"

Gee, do you ya think ?

"By choosing to lash out at the Republican scandal machine rather than quietly apologize, he guaranteed that the story would stay in the news."

Check the "Republican scandal machine" sound bite

"Some big-name Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and Edward M. Kennedy, are known for their ability to attract the party's top writers and thinkers; Kerry is not."

Kerry staff is stupid.

"And the fact that Kerry veered from the text in a way that made a bad speech worse is no surprise, either; in 2004, reporters with advance copies of Kerry's speeches would chuckle over how he added unnecessary words and stepped on his applause lines."

That Kerry , what a card.

Oh I don't know. there's always hope. If for example, all the leading Dem candidates get electrocuted at a Iowa Caucus barbecue... kind of like the movie 'King Ralph', Jon Carry might have a chance.

Nothing, NOTHING, will revive Kerry's Presidential hopes. With a little luck he won't even be re-elected to the Senate.

Peter S. Canellos should stick to his years of writing opeds and articles to convince the independent voters that the gay way is the right way. Moi Jon Carry is French Toast.

What the US Army recruiting poster under "President" Kerry would look like:

Our brave warriors n Irak respond to Jon Carry"

Kerry is no different re his hatred of a strong America and our warriors than 99.9% of the rats in congress. Every rat running for election should have to face a copy of this banner everytime they show their treasonous faces. Pelosi, Murtha, Clintoon, Boxer, Kennedy, Durbin, Levin, Rangle, Reid and other rats in congress hate our military and a strong America. Just look at their voting records the past two years as President Bush pointed out this week.

Kerry is shown leading his fellow hate America and our military Rats to their final destination in American Politics:

(John Kerry picked the wrong people to insult.)

I can't help but feel the real shame is on us, the American voters. We continue to let our troops, our heritage and our nation down by sending the dreggs of our society to represent us at the highest levels and portray our image and soul around the globe.

My GOD- how low have we slipped when we elect murderers, admitted war criminals and traitors to the highest body in our government?

SHAME ON US!

Kerry in one of his many acts of treason after his very short Nam tour.

Vote against all traitors this election day. Support our troops and their CIC, President Bush.

Senator Kerry already lost once, and they don't want to be reminded for the Swift Boat PR fiasco one more time. The Democrats are very likely looking for a candidate with more "flyover country" values like Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana.

JFK's just needs better staff...

Mark Steyn's recent column on Carry: "NH, 2003, I'm talking with two plaid clad NH guys, and JFK comes up and
just stood there. No 'How bout them Sox?' or the like...finally, one of his staff steps out from behind
and says 'The senator needs you to move'".
