I think Matthews (like Geffen, McCurry and Panetta) knows hillary clinton is a dud. He--they--put loyalty to party above loyalty to the clintons, and have the courage to act on that loyalty.

Olberman referred to the continuing coverage of the State of the Union Speech as returning to the "aftermath" of the Presidents speech.

I watched about 2 minutes of PMSNBC while H/C was in a commercial. They had some reporter with too much lip gloss on referring to all the so called misleading parts of the Presidents speech, citing numerous unknown sources that say it was misleading about reducing the defecit, misleading about spending cuts, misleading about the war, the war, the war etc.

And the DemoRats just want to rail about the war, the war, the war because they know if the domestic front looks good, they had no part in shaping the great economy. It was the Republicans who got dumped because of the misleading rant of the rats about the war the war the war.......
And their new direction of change.....get Bush out and then DemWits will come up with something, but DemWits can't give you a straight answer about it because would mean they might have to commit to something that might be unpopular next year......

Matthews and Olberman.....frick and frack. makes me wanna barf.

Well, of course they can change their mind, but the three enumerated have come out rather strongly against hillary clinton--(as did Ickes, as a matter of fact, when he was free to speak his mind).

Sen. Hillary Clinton should not count on help from Hollywood mogul David Geffen in her possible run for the White House.

Geffen, who was a generous supporter and pal of Bill Clinton when he was president, trashed Hillary's prospects last night during a Q&A at the 92nd St. Y in New York City.

"She can't win, and she's an incredibly polarizing figure," the billionaire Democrat told his audience. "And ambition is just not a good enough reason."

Lloyd Grove reports in fresh editions of the NY DAILY NEWS the audience broke with "hearty applause" over Geffen's comments.
