ABC Primetime: brother-sister incest- yuck] We were warned: gay "rights" leads to this
Primetime ^ | Feb 19 2007 | Primetime

ABC Primetime has a segment on, now, about a brother and sister who want to marry. First they softened us up with gay "rights" - now, the next rung down the ladder to barbarism. You supporters of Rudy for President - a gay rights advocate - this is what you're buying into: a slippery slope to barbarism.

Here's an oldie but a goodie from Tom Lehrer, who was one of those rare birds known as an intellectually honest liberal with the guts to call down the movement when he saw it was being taken over by freaks:

INTRO: "It seems that most of the songs that you hear these days on the radio played by the disk jockeys, apart from rock and roll and other children's records, tend to be motion picture title songs. Apparently producers feel that we will not attend their movies unless we have the titles well drilled into our heads in advance. Of course, we don't go anyway, but at least this way they make back on the song some of what they've lost on the picture. But, with the rise of the motion picture title song we have such hits of the past few years as The Ten Commandments Mambo, Brothers Karamazov Cha-Cha, Incredible Shrinking Man I Love You... I'm sure you're all familiar with these.

But, a few years ago, a motion picture version appeared of Sophocles' immortal tragedy Oedipus Rex. This picture played only in the so-called art theaters, and it was not a financial success. And I maintain that the reason it was not a financial success...(laughter) you're way ahead of me... was that it did not have a title tune which the people could hum, and which would make them actually eager to attend this particular flick. So, I've attempted to supply this, and here then is the prospective title song from Oedipus Rex."

From the Bible to the popular song,
There's one theme that we find right along;
Of all ideals they hail as good,
The most sublime is motherhood.

There was a man though, who it seems,
Once carried this ideal to extremes.
He loved his mother and she loved him,
And yet his story is rather grim.

There once lived a man named Oedipus Rex,
You may have heard about his odd complex.
His name appears in Freud's index
'Cause he loved his mother.

His rivals used to say quite a bit
That as a monarch he was most unfit.
But still in all they had to admit
That he loved his mother.

Yes, he loved his mother like no other,
His daughter was his sister and his son was his brother.
One thing on which you can depend is,
He sure knew who a boy's best friend is.

When he found what he had done,
He tore his eyes out, one by one.
A tragic end to a loyal son
Who loved his mother.

So be sweet and kind to mother,
Now and then have a chat.
Buy her candy or some flowers,
Or a brand new hat.
But maybe you had better let it go at that.

Or you may find yourself with a quite complex complex
And you may end up like Oedipus.
I'd rather marry a duck-billed platypus
Than end up like old Oedipus Rex.

If the criteria is that two people love each other for "marriage" then there is no logical way out of accepting it.

There is nothing magical about the number "two" in marriage except that one man and one woman comprise two people.

Really, what else is special about the number "two"?

One thing I've noticed: Most Southerners like the South just fine and want to stay down there. The Yankees on the other hand...

As a "yankee" transplant I will gladly admit I prefer it down here then back in upstate New York. Very Pretty state and area, but increasingly the people and policies leave a lot to be desired.

>> Inside a Phenomenon Called Genetic Sexual Attraction

Where's George Carlin when you need him. I'm guessing he would call it "Incest".

Should we await the ABC Special:

I think ABC is the worst of the worst. As I was channel surfing one day recently during the daytime, I ran across a soap opera on ABC. There was a couple embracing with their tongues down each other's throats. Both had long hair.

At first I thought, hey, that guy looks like a girl. Nah, he's just got long hair. When they pulled apart from each other, I saw that it was two women. I didn't realize network television had deteriorated far enough for a scene like that on a major show.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Actually it was his ex wife and all the stories you heard? They were true and only about half of it.

I don't want to marry the whole team. I'd settle for Kerry Wood.

Its getting to the point (degeneracy on TV) that being beaten with rods in no longer enough.....

Wide spread boycotts organized by churches would be only a start.

There is no bottom to their depravity.

Oh there's a bottom, and some day they'll find it.

That it'll involve a team of Chinese coal miners and a government grant is immaterial...

What do you mean 'people?' If I want to have a relationship with the putrefied dead squirrel out back next to my garbage can who are you to say it can't be recognized by the state?

Maybe, if it was a civil union only. I don't know if I want to go so far as extending marriage in this case...at least not until a few dozen more polls come out to convince me of the will of the American people.

I'm also omitting the sarc tag.
