Rudy says the Bush Administration made a mistake by calling it a war on terrorism. Says we should be calling it terrorism's war on America. And he has a point. It won't matter whether or not the Democrats succeed in pulling our troops off the battlefields of Iraq, the war against America rages on. The Islamic fascists will continue waging a war of terror against us or against any free Christian or non Muslim nation simply because they hate us, hate our religion, hate our freedom and wish to see us dead. However, he fails to see another war being waged against America and one that will eventually enslave us all or make us just as dead. Socialism.

Socialism is an enemy of freedom and wishes to see freedom dead. Socialism is at war with America. Socialism knows no borders. It's a global force at war with all free nations and all free societies. Socialism's forces seek to erase borders, dissolve national sovereignty and take control of government.

It seeks to infiltrate public institutions, breakdown moral societies, destroy religious faith and religious institutions, to destroy the traditional family unit through homosexualism, gay marriage, liberalized divorce, abortion, drugs, crime, poverty, dependence.

It indoctrinates each new generation with socialist propaganda and dogma, divides and conquers by setting political factions against one another.

It misuses government power to quash dissent, abolish free speech, register gun owners and eventually round up the guns to block armed resistance.

Misuses government to take private property from rightful owners.

It misuses government to force wealth redistribution schemes on the people, confiscates wealth through high taxes, takes control over entire industries by outright nationalizing (socializing) them or through burdensome over regulation/over taxation.

It seeks to erase borders and dissolve national sovereignty and destroy free economies by allowing illegal/excessive immigration.

It degrades the value of human life through abortion, infanticide, eugenics, organ harvesting, cloning, euthanasia. It places higher value on the earth, the environment, animals, fish and insects than on people.

It preaches human rights while enslaving entire segments of human populations making them totally dependent upon government. It fosters rampant crime and misuse of drugs, imprisons huge numbers of our society breaking up families and making children wards of the state while turning neighborhoods and cities into slums, barrios and wastelands, even war zones.

And one by one socialism/socialists abolish, rescind, override, overturn, or simply ignore our fundamental constitutional rights and freedoms.

When we ignore the fact that this war is being waged against us on a day by day basis, and that the enemy is amongst us, and that he is winning, and worse, that we would actually support it or join it, then we risk waking up some otherwise fine morning (assuming we're still alive) to discover we have no freedom, no rights, no country, no families, no private property and no means to fight back.

Oh, cut the sanctimonious crap. You have been one of the ringleaders spreading bogus and unsubstantiated allegations about Hunter as you decry the opposition to Rudy. You also disparaged the motives of good pro-life organizations. And then you run around saying how Rudy can't be supported on FR - as you post thread after thread doing just that.

But they ARE on the radar of millions of Christian conservatives and second amendment supporters, first amendment supporters, border security supporters, etc.

A president has the bully pulpit and as leader of the party has a considerable amount of influence and arm twisting leverage over the legislative agenda, plus he wields the veto pen, and has a direct hand in the appointments process.

A pro life and liberty president is in a position to defend conservative priniples and actually advance the cause.

A pro abortion, pro government regulation and restriction guy will be destructive to the cause.

Just the act of actually electing a social liberal from the Republican party would severely damage the conservative movement. Electing a social liberal to the presidency would be disastrous for conservatism.

Don't know why FReepers cannot see this danger.
