He's been on the ground in SC since the future President Bush cleaned his clock there in 2000.

Duncan Hunter is the real winner of this straw poll. He's been totally ignored by the media, who paints it as a race between McCain and Guilani with an occassional whack-mole hit jobs on Romney during the rare instances when he can break 10 per cent.

I expect to see some whack-the-mole jobs on Duncan Hunter once the media sees they can no longer ignore him. He's the best candidate out there, IMHO.

The question is whether he has enough appeal to moderates and dissatisfied (w/hillary/obama) to attrack the votes necessary to win. I listened to his CPAC speech and imo his delivery lacked fire.

I have to agree with you. Duncan is a good, but not a great speaker, but I think he'd be a good doer. Maybe the Veep slot or another high profile assignment would give him the exposure he needs to get elected.

I think it was Graham pulling the rabbit out. Two peas in a rotten pod.
