"Wonder if they filled in the 'blank' spot on their bogus chart. "
There are no "blank spots" on my chart!
And, once again, I believe the "restrictions on questions" that people keep referring to, were put in place by the CIA to protect classified info. I don't think the dems could put up such restrictions.

They have a blank spot where Armitage's photo should be on their chart of who passed along Valerie's name. (I refuse to use the word 'leak' here, it just allows them to frame the issue.)

That's the chart I was referring to.

Robert Novak asked someone in the CIA about Plame when he did his story on Wilson and asked if there would be a problem if he published Plame's name. Novak said he was told, No problem with the covert part, we just wish you wouldn't do it. Crikey- It was Joe Wilson who ruined his wife's career - but they're having so much fun making $$$$$$ and hanging out with cool people like Warren Beatty. They should be writing Rove and Cheney thank you notes instead of suing them.

Thanks for posting the number for the Minority of the Committee. I just called and told the woman who answered about my disappointment with there not being more representatives from the Republicans sitting in on the hearing today. I said the least they could have done was to have individuals there, especially when Victoria Toensing testified, and that when Henry Waxman called Ms. Toensing a liar, there was no Republican making any kind of objection to it on record. I said a few other things, but I won't go into detail.

I heard nostrils tell Toensing that Hayden "agreed" with the statement that nostrils wrote. Yet in his opening statement this morning nostrils said on the record that he was reading a statement BY the CIA. I guess he meant 'passed by the CIA.'

After listening to the democrats from Maryland and California, the District of Columbia, and New Hampshire, I am very afraid for my country. How can there be enough stupid voters in these states to keep returning these sub-intellect individuals such as Tiny Waxman to be their legislative representatives? I can only chalk it up to the ardor caused by hate the democrat party fosters and foments continually in their efforts to 'unite the country' ... under their socialist banner. What an obscenity by tiny Waxman this committee 'hearing' was. And what's with the committee seating sign carriers to sit behind the witnesses and send signals of 'impeachment', etc? What a Neroesque spectacle tiny and his democrap colleagues have produced! How much it says about voters in their districts who return this blind-partisan hate-filled scum to Washington year after year. And tiny exposed the agenda when he told Victoria she would not be allowed to speak if she said something he didn't approve of her saying.

You have to live your cover. Once you don't, forget it.

Very true. We have close family friends that were covert CIA agents in the 70's and 80's. Their cover was owning a camera shop. Both became experts in photography and equipment.

As per trial testimony by the CIA, she did send him.

It matters not tho, since the CIA allowed Wilson to write about his "secret" trip in the NYT, and no one has been arrested or charged with a crime.

Hmmm... In the interest of fairness, you might be interested in both sides of that conversation. Bill Harlow, the CIA spokesperson, says he asked Novak "in the strongest terms he was allowed to use" not to print the information, and that - of course - he didn't tell Novak "you can't print that because she is covert" because to do so would be telling Novak officially that she was covert.

If you are suggesting that someone should tell Novak that she is a covert officer - in order to prevent a reporter from reporting that she is a covert officer - then you have stepped all the way through the looking glass.

:-) What's not to love?

Just made it back home. I left at 2:30 and got home at 3:30. I live 12 miles away and under normal conditions, it only takes 20 minutes.

Lots of prayer getting home safely, especially up and down some scary, slippery hills.

Now I need to catch up on the Thread.

That is odd, since no one who was involved in the meetings to send Wilson testified at the trial. Care to identify by name the witness you claim testified that she did send him? Or are you going to, once again, run away from your own factually-challenged post?

She not only said today that she did NOT ask Joe to go to Niger...she said she had NOTHING to even do with the discussion...

She then said that "they" told her to write an e-mail about her husband going after THEY made the decision...(without her suggestion of course)..and THEN asked her if she would ask her husband, Joe that night if he would go.

Of course she said all of that with complete sincerity that some other agent suggested it...it was discussed and decided on, ALL without her knowledge or input.

LIAR, LIAR...

Star..I wish you could have seen her testimony..you HAVE to watch for a replay of it...you will not believe how condescending and high and mighty she acted.

These question were addressed:
Did she actually say that?
Yes she did, she was not authorized to make those decisions

And, if so, why in heaven's name has NO one asked as a followup: who DID send your husband to Niger??
They did
CIA does not know who authorized it, but she later stated
she asked her husband to meet with the CIA about going to
Niger
Like the CIA would not know who sent him, right
She said unknown person asked her to ask Joe to go
Then she said she asked him to go
Then she said she didn't ask him to go

kind of made me want to go wind surfing?
