A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 200,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

Welcome to Warm Fuzzy Wednesday at the Finest. For those who start counting the days on Monday until the weekend, we're halfway there! So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday to you, friends. Hope you all are having a nice day.

I am about to go out and see if I can find some flowers to photograph around the yard.

Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry

Alliances

The Relationship between Cats And Horses is easy to explain
We Cats enjoy the feel of their stiff hair and mane
Sweep against our softer silkier fur that covers from nose to tail
Sending warm shivers across our sensitive skin without fail

There's also the advantage of sitting atop a wide Fence Post
And feeling Our Horse's nose press and rub a spot we cats enjoy most
Between our shoulder blades which makes our spines arch and twist
It's an exquisitely sensuous delight no Feline can resist
In return, we Cats reciprocate and act as a Groomer, Masseur or Masseuse

It's an idea that when looked at closely doesn't seem too obtuse
Since we Cats can stretch and reach places that Our Horses can't
Like scratching itching flanks while listening to either Gossip or Rants
Or gently coaxing out mud from Our Horse's tail and ankle feathers
That seem to get dirty and stringy, regardless of the weather

It's also rumored that our poise and purr have a calming effect
That we start using very early on so Our Horses can detect
A seasoned veteran rider and a clumsy novice at first glance
So Our Horses can chase us around the corral with grace and elegance

Thanks, Rus - they grow so fast and sprout up quickly. We let some sprouts grow until about January, then transplant them if they’re not where we want them. We’ve landscaped the yard with them and have little groves in the field, so they just keep multiplying. :)
