“had nothing to do with anything religious whatsoever.” But she said she was not permitted by human resources to know “more beyond that.”
I don’t think that answer is going to sell in Peoria. The fired employee says it was religious, so it would seem that if they have another explanation, they had better explain unless they want us to draw conclusions of our own based on just one side of the story.

There is no excuse for this. I hope the fired worker sues and collects a boat full of money, and that the people who fired him get fired themselves.
If this isn’t discrimination, there is no such thing as discrimination.

Makes me think of the Office episode where the picture of babies wearing ties and playing musical instruments offended one of the co-office workers. Hilarius episode!

Lawsuit! Liberals never learn.

They reacted literally like demons; screeching, screaming obscenities, exposing themselves and kissing their same-sex partners in front of him, etc. I've often wondered if some of these folks are just downright possessed.

I would fire him too. That stuff does not belong in the workplace.
To avoid dealing with the nuances of the law, I'd assure everyone that he wasn't fired over the picture.
In fact, I believe any employer shoould be able to fire any employee at any time for any reason.

Then explain why the supervisor said this:
"She told me people were offended, and she told me anything with Jesus and God can't be up"

I am amazed that atheists get offended. It is not like they actually believe in anything. Well, there are members of another religion that get very offended about Easter.

"Makes me think of the Office episode where the picture of babies wearing ties and playing musical instruments offended one of the co-office workers. Hilarius episode!" So, please tell us about that. I hadn't heard that one.
To: Wormwood
Maybe you weren't a prude who alienated himself from the rest of his office-mates, as indicated in this story? Prude: someone who won't lower himself to my level.

"She told me people were offended, and she told me anything with Jesus and God can't be up," Romansky told WND.
He could be para-phrasing, and in doing so could be explaining the message he heard, rather than the message that was intended by the supervisor.
Or perhaps he has added hyperbole to the statement. Perhaps she said, "People are offended, please don't put pictures of the nature in a position for all to see", and he has just added exageration to aid in making a point.

Religious persecution. I think he has a day in court coming, if that is what he wants to do.

Now for the first time I understand why God’s name is used in so much profanity in movies,tv and people who call themselves Christian.I wish Christians could come together and bring more attention to this evil of using Gods name in such an abusive matter. And when people say g-d this and g-d that it makes my stomach cringe, and I try to politely ask them not to do so.

Really? What about an employee who reports illegal actions by the corp to the authorities?
What about an employee in a corporation who is the victim of ONE boss who has an agenda which is contrary to the corporation's best interest. I was run out of a company once because I went to my bosses boss about a serious ethical violation by my boss, one that was harmful to the company. She spent the next year doing everything she could to get me fired. When I just left, did that benefit the stockholders or the company. NO.
You view may be right for a small company where the owner does the firing but it doesn't work for a corporation when petty tyrants work against the interest of the owners by firing good workers to serve their personal agendas.
