What Was the Most Stupid Remark Made in Tonight's Dem Debate? (Vanity)

O.K. Freepers; I know most of you watched the 'Rats one and a half hour debate tonight. What do you think was the most stupid remark any of them made? I'll start it off.

I thought Sen. Dodd's statement opposing drug testing for welfare recipients was utterly stupid. He said that drug addiction was an illness and a person should not have to give up their welfare because they are ill.

Gag me with a book of food stamps!

Yeah. Biden told Kucinich and Gravel that they could do all the “happy talk” they wanted but sometimes force is necessary and it works.

Edwards didn’t echo his wife’s sentiment that whites are “prettier” than blacks?

I don't think they should have a drug test for welfare recipients either.

I don't care whether you want to classify it as an illness or a vice.

It doesn't matter.

When people need food and or shelter we should provide it, and become holy rollers judging of who is or isn't good enough morally to receive help.

I donate money to homeless shelters and certainly hope they are helping drug addicts along with everybody else.

Does Dodd oppose drug testing for job applicants, too?

Why should I have to pee in a cup to get a job, if welfare queens don’t have to??

Chris Matthews, a paraphrase here: (Hillary Clinton) didn't say anything to make herself more unlikeable.

LOL; that is priceless.

I didn’t watch the debate but I’m becoming fascinated with the Edwards campaign.

What Tancredo is to some conservatives Edwards is to many Liberals. He has done a good job of deciding who he wants to appeal to, namely the activist/ex-Dean/Democraticunderground gang. He could really become a spoiler to Hillary and Obama who know they have to win moderate votes after the convention. Edwards doesn’t care about that step. He just wants the nomination.

Every word out of Gravel’s mouth was gold. I have to send money to this guy’s campaign.

The guy who asked the question said that he had to take a drug test to keep his job so why should welfare recipients not have to do the same to keep their welfare.

If you, other private citizens and faith-based organizations, want to support drug addicts; that’s your call. But, hard-working taxpayers shouldn’t be foreced to support their habit.

I have better things to do with my time than listen to Eva Braun and The Seven Mental Dwarfs debating the quickest way to destroy the Republic. Charlatans and poltroons, all.
