O.K. Freepers; I know most of you watched the 'Rats one and a half hour debate tonight. What do you think was the most stupid remark any of them made? I'll start it off.
I thought Sen. Dodd's statement opposing drug testing for welfare recipients was utterly stupid. He said that drug addiction was an illness and a person should not have to give up their welfare because they are ill.
Gag me with a book of food stamps!
Edwards: “I feel pretty, oh so pretty....”
LOL
Of course not, because when people need money for drugs, we should provide it for them. Because, like the great philospher of our time, Doctor Meatwad has said:
He needs it, and when you need something, that's a responsibility that only an adult of my maturity...Bunnies!!
/ Sarc, of course.
You gotta be kidding.
Welfare is a public service put in place to help people according to their needs, NOT personal abilities or qualifications to perform in some capicity as an employer has the right to require.
Tell me you don't know the difference.
OMG you are so right. He turned the entire debate into a freakshow.
Must've been:) Then again, anytime a Rat opens his/her mouth there is always some gem of a convoluted flub sound coming out of it .......
/laughs
Hillary keeps on pushing this "air quality after 9/11" thing of hers, and all its doing is pi**ing off everyone in and around the city about her cold political opportunism. Those people went into Ground Zero knowing full well that it was a hazardous environment there, and they did so out of humanity ... something that Hillary knows nothing about and which she demonstrates daily.
Michael Savage has long advocated that Senators and Congressmen should all have to take random drug tests, since so many of them say things that are so crazy they sound like they’re on drugs. Also Rep. Patrick Kennedy with his bizarro “sleepdriving” crash due to multiple psycho-drugs in his system. How many of them are casting floor votes while high or with impaired judgement? Maybe it would be good to require they all have to pee in a cup within 5 minutes of every vote they cast.
However, I missed a response Richardson gave in regard to Alberto Gonzales.
My wife said, Richardson stated he was hesitant to call for the AGs removal because the AG is Hispanic.
I did not hear it, being away from the TV.
I would like to see if that actually what was said.
Can somebody clue me in on who “Gravel” is?
I don't like it. But I don't like it when people take their pay checks and blow them on crack either.
That's not the point.
Let drug enforcement agencies and social workers address drug problems of these people.
Still if a person needs help or public assistance our first job isn't to determine if it's their own fault or not.
We help people who need help. Period. And address secondary issues afterward if needed.
Did EE say something like that?
Biden, “Yes.” :o)

Sen. from Alaska, the white haired guy who was just a complete loon.
Actually, the truly stupid remarks came from Olbermann and Matthews.
We had a similiar proposal in the legislature requiring drug testing for welfare benefits.
I titled the bill “Urine the Money.”
The leftists didn’t think that was very funny.
U.S. Senators and Congressmen take random drug tests?
Hey, I’m up for it.
