President Bush met today with Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in the Oval Office. (Transcript)
Later, the president hosted a Cinco de Mayo celebration in the Rose Garden (Transcript)
Vice President Dick Cheney welcomed Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh to America and escorted the Queen on a tour of Jamestown, Virginia, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the first English settlement. (Transcript)
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice continued her meeting with the Iraq conference at the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheik in Egypt.
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates traveled to Fort Polk, Louisiana to observe soldiers of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team 101st Airborne, Golf Company as they trained at the Joint Readiness Training Center.

Despite constant attack (left and right) and high gas prices, the President continues to boast an almost 80% approval rating among Republicans — an amazing achievement for a second term president in the throws of a HOT war! [Our presidential contenders for ‘08 had best remember this rating . . . I’m already tired of McCain, et al, sniping at the President for purely political reasons. FYI: Any of our candidates who feel they must ridicule/abandon our President in their hubris-ridden drive for the White House can forget about earning the votes of me and mine!!]”
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!! George W. Bush still has coat tails (and I will go on record as saying that by November of ‘08, his coat tails will be a “must ride” for the next President).
