Who are you to judge? Who are you to say that the more than slightly creepy 39-year-old woman from Arkansas who just gave birth to her 16th child yes that's right 16 kids and try not to cringe in phantom vaginal pain when you say it, who are you to say Michelle Duggar is not more than a little unhinged and sad and lost?
And furthermore, who are you to suggest that her equally troubling husband -- whose name is, of course, Jim Bob and he's hankerin' to be a Republican senator and try not to wince in sociopolitical pain when you say that -- isn't more than a little numb to the real world, and that bringing 16 hungry mewling attention-deprived kids (and she wants more! Yay!) into this exhausted world zips right by "touching" and races right past "disturbing" and lurches its way, heaving and gasping and sweating from the karmic armpits, straight into "Oh my God, what the hell is wrong with you people?"
But that would be, you know, mean. Mean and callous to suggest that this might be the most disquieting photo you see all year, this bizarre Duggar family of 18 spotless white hyperreligious interchangeable people with alarmingly bad hair, the kids ranging in ages from 1 to 17, worse than those nuked Smurfs in that UNICEF commercial and worse than all the horrific rubble in Pakistan and worse than the cluster-bomb nightmare that is Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise having a child as they suck the skin from each other's Scientological faces and even worse than that huge 13-foot python which ate that six-foot alligator and then exploded.

LOL!
ROTFLMS!!!!
My great grandma “only” had 13—my grandma was the last—born in 1899. Like many families of that time, a few of them died very young.
I did go ahead and read the whole article. Needless to say, the person who wrote it is full of hate and incredibly stupid - he called this family “asexual.” Obviously not asexual if they have reproduced this many times.
I would also add that the children are very well behaved - and we know the Discovery Channel wouldn’t edit out any tantrums if the children did have them.
I used to be a leader in the Jr High ministry at my old church. There were a few kids on our team from one family. Years later, I ran into one of the kids, who then was an adult in their later 20's. We started calling and e-mailing once in awhile, and I visited them once out in Colorado. There were 5 of these kids from 1 family, adopted into this family. The mom and dad wanted to keep all the kids together so they adopted all 5.
The mom and dad had some of their own biological kids. The dad some (maybe 2 or 3) from his first marriage (his first wife had died). And then the mom and dad had some together (again 2 or 3, I think). Then they started adopting kids into their family, with 4-6 already in the family.
Last time I knew the mom and dad were in the process of adopting 2 more kids.
Mom and dad went to the rest of the family to consult with them about whether to do this or not. Why? Because the boy they were going to adopt was about 8-10 years old, and the little girl was about 6, and the dad was 66 at the time, and the mom 50. So when the little girl would be graduating high school, the dad would be 78.
All the kids enthusiasticly agreed that mom and dad should do this. And they also agreed to help in the raising of these 2 new family members.
With the addition of these two new family members, between biological and chosen (adopted) kids, there were 26 loving siblings. And when I say loving, there was no distinction between biological kids and chosen kids. Between the ages ofmid 40's to 6 years old.
Oh yeah, one more thing. This family had 115 foster kids through their home over the years.
Will such an article be covered by the new hate speech law touted by this man’s congressperson?
I had three children and I watch the Duggars and just gape in amazement at how the woman manages all of those kids. They all seem very aware of their situation and very well-behaved, but just the laundry and the cooking must be a monumental undertaking. I admire this woman, she always seems so self-possessed and confident. Both of the Duggars seem very happy and content with the life they’ve built, and it has not been easy for these people. They built that house themselves. Before that, they lived in a house with one bathroom! Mrs. Duggar is proud that she homeschools her children and proud to raise a religious family. I’ll bet she’s got nerves of steel, too! I don’t think she does b!tchy homo nonsense, Markie!
There are three other families featured on this program. One in Michigan (13 kids) and another that has 14 boys (I think?) and only one girl, the youngest. That familiy’s Dad is a minister, so I think Morford had a choice when it came to bashing a Christian husband and wife and their big happy family. xcamel said it best...Morford is a POS.
My favorite come back to these types of people is, "We have to have so many children to counterbalance the idiots in the world."
I guess the writer has not realized yet that he is one of that class of no breeding.
They are soon to have 17 — next one should be born within a month or so. I have watched their TV specials and although they are more conservative and more traditional than i am as a parent, i can see they clearly raise their children to be self-sufficient, God fearing, Bible taught, productive tax paying citizens. I don’t understand this entire thread — people getting into the business of what other families do? this family uses less electricity, food, energy, clothing, than most families of five. Have you seen how they conserve absolutely everything? it puts all the rest of us to shame. their house is spotless, the kids are polite and well mannered, and she homeschools them all. They’re a little “off” by society’s standards, but who cares? He actually WAS a Senator, and they have run very successful business since they were first married as young people.
They are to be envied — not demonized. It took them four years to build a house finally big enough for them to breathe in, and they did it on a small fraction of the budget anyone else would use for a 7,000 square foot home on land they own.
Don’t worry, my friends who have WAY too much time on your hands. Not one penny of your tax dollars will ever go to this family, and likely, not even the kids or grandkids.
Those parents are worth more than any hundred case workers in the entire welfare system in America.
See my post #106.
One of the reasons this guy is ticked is because he knows that liberals are in homo relationships and aborting themselves into extinction. He knows that conservatives will one day outnumber the liberal population. That scares him.
I've heard a few times from seperate sources that liberals average less than 1 child per couple, and that conservatives average over 3 kids per family.
I’m actually jealous of them. No matter how I try, I cannot get my children that organized.
His trademark is ridiculous run-on sentences that are salted with a bunch of pithy-sounding adjectives. There is almost always a reference to anal sex or some other perversion.
He's so bad that anyone who would try to parody him would probably write a more passable article.
You got it, Marky Mark!
Yep. They pay and take care of their own. Just finally built a big house. Father and older sons doing most of the work themselves. Hey they even got married before having children. I think they were married 4 years before the first.
That was my reaction. What is he so afraid of?
