That is what is meant by employment verification. They won’t stay long if they can’t get a job. Forcible deportation is a losing cause because the courts can and will intervene, especially in places like California and New Mexico. They will let them out on their own recognizance until their court date knowing full well they will never show. That is what is going on now. However, punish the employer, who has nowhere to go and nowhere to hide -make it hurt and they’ll stop. End the source of employment and the illegal aliens will have no other choice than to deport themselves or to try and establish legal status. Makes sense to me. I would prefer forcible deportation as an option if I knew the leftist courts wouldn’t screw things up. However, experience tells me that would not be the case. Romney’s business sense tells him to take the more rational approach and cure the disease instead of treat the symptom.

He seems to be missing that little part about the people being here ILLEGALLY and needing to be deported.
I don’t understand these politicians. They say we can’t just “round people up and throw them out”. We don’t have to do that. All we need to do is bring SEVERE punishment to those who employ them and cut off ALL social services to them and they will go home on their own. Of course the ones who don’t go home, we can throw out when we run across them. We should build the dammed fence while we are at it. It’s really as simple as that.
Even so, he still drains money and talent from RINO’s, but he is not even a real contender for POTUS as the “R” candidate.

To tell the truth, I’m even ok with keeping everyone who’s here already, here.
Not guaranteeing them rights.
Not forbidding them from being deported.
But let ‘em work, where there are. Seriously.
Build the fence. Then enforce the requirement that employers must. Must. Verify residency before hiring anyone.
Anyone. Anywhere.
If we have to pay more for lettuce, that’s fine, because it will probably have less bacterial risk.
If we have to hire American teenagers again at fast food restaurants, rather than 30-something illegal aliens, and pay a quarter more for our food, so be it.
But seriously. All we need to do is stop the flow in, and remove the reward for breaking the law.
Problem solved.
No roundups. No drama.
Just a couple million adults, coming to the rational conclusion they would be better off in their (own country).
As things should be.
Fix Mexico, if it’s got problems. Fix the corruption, and the oligopoly. Go home, and fix your own country.
Don’t bring your problems here, expecting us to fix them for you.

Heck, just make being here a capital offense! Give them a real good reason to get their asses back across the border! If they aren’t out of here by Jan 1,2008 they will be arrested and tried with the possibility of a death sentence. Pretty severe, I know, but would be effective as all get out! And quit calling them illegegal aliens and start calling them foreign invaders! They are jeopardizing our national security and should be treated more severely.

The lefist courts are able to screw it up because congress and the states have let them. The courts do not have jurisdiction.
McAmnesty is so stupid. And I can’t believe Rudy has tried to be neutral; he needed to be forcefully against it. Rudy was in the hole with social conservative with abortion and now he is in deeper. But McAmnesty is the author of this load of garbage. McInsane is dead.
I will be interested how Fred threads the needle on this issue when he gets in. I just don’t see anyone in the toptier who is pure.
